Can I do this?!

I am getting super worried about how soon my first exam – FAR is coming up. I wanted to see if I can actually do it on the date scheduled (April 5th) or should I wait. I have 24 hours of lecture out of 52 to complete. I have only done MCQ during the lectures, because I was trying to get through the lectures ASAP and then just focus on MCQ. Now I fear I don’t have enough time!! Is it possible with my following schedule:

    – Today, 3 hours of uninterrupted time for studying, 5 hours of babysitting (I can do some studying if they watch a movie, wish I hadn’t offered to babysit).

    – Sunday, all day is open for studying!

    – Monday-Friday 25 hours max to study

    – Following Saturday – Wednesday completely free and I will study during all of it.

    – Thursday – Exam @ 8am

I plan to use my time very wisely and I want to get through the lectures ASAP, but somehow they are taking SO freaking long to do!! My plan was to have them finished last weekend, but I barely got through the half way point as of now!! I haven’t even re-wrote my NINJA notes or opened the Wiley Testbank!! 🙁

You are in a tough situation, I'm not saying it cannot be done but it will be very hard. I have been studying 30-40 hours a week since Feb. 28 for FAR and I take it on April 12th and I feel that I might be cutting it close. It is a lot of information to take in for a lot of people in such a short period of time. Good luck though, I hope you defeat the odds!

    BEC - Feb 2012: 80
    AUD - Feb 2012: 84
    FAR - Apr 2012: 78
    REG - May 2012: 90

    Thanks Becker!

Ashley – my suggestion is to postpone till you have better review time. Why rush when you still haven't finished review first pass through and will feel shakier on test. Don't schedule till you are ready. If you feel great early April before test you can proceed, but give yourself permission to wait.

    Good luck fellow Washingtonian!

Thanks for your advice! I think I may postpone it later in April. I just didn't know if it was doable since I've never tested. A lot of things happened since I scheduled it and my aunts been staying with me right now. I see every Monday and Friday is taken in April. :-/ How much time should I allow after I finish my lectures? I would say I have work/commitments for approx 35hrs a week.

depends on how well you retain each section. if you have at least a week to review (more is better) than you can get through the ninja notes and mcqs. I have about three weeks and feel pressed – working long hours every day to get it in. having other committments does prolong the experience 🙂
