Hi guys this my fist post here

I have approved to sit for the CPA exam in CA, and I will sit for FAR and BEC in august 2010.

my problem is now I want to select the other two exams so I can sit for them in the next window.

So I have created the ($100 Fee for First-time Applicants) instead of the ($50 Fee for Repeat Applicants ) is this okay?? and is it going to affect my current application.

All I want to do is to pay for the other two exams that I didn’t pay for.

    I’m very concern

Please reply me as soon as possible.

    Cool, thanks ultrarunner.

Did your quickbooks class have “ACCT200” in front of the course description to indicate that it was offered by the accounting department?

Update: Received my status letter on 7/22 (Saturday)

Basically, CA must be super slow entering transcripts because they said they still needed my Ethics class transcript from Foothill. I ordered the transcript 2 days after I mailed in my application so they should have it at this point…

Also, because my experience was signed off by a CPA in another state there is an additional form that the respective state board of accountancy must complete and send to California. This isn't a form I forgot to send in..you only get the form once you submit your application to the board so there wasn't much I could do about this..

All my other educational requirements checked out so hopefully these are the last hoops I have to jump through..

You received the status letter really fast! They must have much less workload than earlier this year. I sent the transcript right after the score released two week ago, and I called last Friday, they told me the system has not showed it yet, and I requested to email the status letter going forward. My experience is signed off by another state CPA as well, once the other state verify the CPA, CA updates it pretty fast.

They are really slow, I don't know why they don't hire more people to do the job as CA is the biggest state. I can't wait to be licensed, it's such a long journey. I wonder how long it takes once the application move to final review.

I am in the same boat. My transcript order was completed Jul 10, but CBA has not updated yet. I plan to call them again this week to see whether they received it.

@kiko, have you already done the out of state experience verification?

@NeedsA75, Yes, I am already done with that. Once CBA receive that form back from the other state, they update it pretty fast. I guess it depends which state you are gonna send that form to.

I had to send it to Maryland. They had me email it this morning. Hopefully they turn it around pretty quick and get it back to California..

So they sent you an updated status letter once California received the out of state verification form?

anyone know how long it takes for them to approve an application after receiving payment? (I've sat for 2 parts already so they're not reviewing transcripts)
They received payment on 7/14/17 but have not yet allowed me select the exams yet for payment.
I called and they transferred me to a coordinator who was on lunch and may take up to 48 hours to respond.

I sent it to GA. They did it pretty fast, and you can call to check the status.

CA will send you an updated status letter once they receive the verification letter.

I think only the transcripts CA takes forever to update it, because they receive a lot, and sorting all that kinds stuffs.

NeedsA75, yes, QB class had ACCT****. But my Foothill classes started with F****. So I am not sure the numbering matters.

kiko3, once your application moves to final review, it will take another 4-6 weeks. Once your final review hit 4 weeks, you should email the board frequently. They told me to wait for another few weeks, but then, they approved it in a few days. All the best.

It just frustrates me so because I haven't been looking for jobs seriously, since I just WANT those letters behind my name.. How much does it SUCK that I've passed this test in December and STILL haven't been licensed…
