Hi guys this my fist post here

I have approved to sit for the CPA exam in CA, and I will sit for FAR and BEC in august 2010.

my problem is now I want to select the other two exams so I can sit for them in the next window.

So I have created the ($100 Fee for First-time Applicants) instead of the ($50 Fee for Repeat Applicants ) is this okay?? and is it going to affect my current application.

All I want to do is to pay for the other two exams that I didn’t pay for.

I’m very concern

@kiko, how long did it take for them to confirm receipt of your out of state experience verification form?

Maryland sent it back to CA on 7/26 but the board says they still don't have it. Its the only thing missing from my file

@NeedsA75, I called CBA and they told me they received it, then I received an updated letter. You can try to call the other state board to see whether they sent it out or not.

@NeedsA75, CBA updated my status after 1 week the other state board sent the letter out.

I have not checked my score release at 1am ET on the score release date, but this time I believe I will due to the long wait. Does the CA Board website usually crash on score release day?

From my experience. I never check at midnight or whatnot, bc CA is not a NASBA state. Unless CBA or AICPA says somewhere that CA will start releasing scores on midnight, I would not bet on the scores being released that early. It usually released at 6 AM.

@hasy Thanks for sharing. I guess CA people wouldn't be affected by Nasba server crash, besides getting the scores a little later than other states.

I figured I'd chime in and add my application timeline to increase processing time sample size.

Friday, August 4th – Submitted transcript request to SMC for Ethics course.

Sunday, August 6th – Passed CALCPA Ethics exam.

Monday, August 7th – Mailed CPA application.

Thursday, August 10th – CBA received application.

I am waiting for other grades to post for courses I took at Cerritos College so I can send my transcripts from there as well. I'm hoping to grades post tonight so I can send in the request tomorrow. Its incredible that it could take another 2-3 month's to be licensed, as if we haven't dealt with enough anxiety and stress from exams and 150 unit requirement (I had to take 8 additional courses!)

Updates: my number was issued today (8/15). My check was received on 8/4, the cashier cleared it out on 8/11.

I may have missed something. I see the $250 fee for the app which I send with passport style photos. What is the $120 fee people speak of? Is this in addition to $250 or a different situation?

@kiko3. Congrats! I fedexed my check on 8/3, but CBA has not cashed it yet. Where do you check your license number?
