Hi guys this my fist post here

I have approved to sit for the CPA exam in CA, and I will sit for FAR and BEC in august 2010.

my problem is now I want to select the other two exams so I can sit for them in the next window.

So I have created the ($100 Fee for First-time Applicants) instead of the ($50 Fee for Repeat Applicants ) is this okay?? and is it going to affect my current application.

All I want to do is to pay for the other two exams that I didn’t pay for.

    I’m very concern

Please reply me as soon as possible.

@hasy, I am trying to apply for financial analyst position too, are you transiting from accountant to it?

thanks hasy and kiko! I put that my CPA application was pending on my resume and it seemed to be well received by recruiters/employers. I recommend doing the same thing unless you are definitely waiting for your license number before applying!

Yes. I may be an accountant title, but I really do more of the financial reporting side. No hard journal entries and hard coding stuff and what not. But I want to have more of an analysis role. So basically starting from the beginning, hoping for someone to see my CPA and give me a bone.

They said that they have received my Foothill transcript and it should be reviewed today. But if it goes to final review, the process could take up to 6 weeks….. It is simply a joke how much faster other states process the applications, which makes me truly curious about the volume difference between state for CPA applicants.

Yes, up to 6 weeks but from the other timelines I've seen posted the final review can be as short as 2 weeks…fingers crossed!

I just tried calling them and can't even get a hold of someone to check on my transcript. What a joke!

@NeedsA75, did you put “CPA application pending” under your name on your resume?

Under the education portion of my resume I put “CPA license application pending”

Also, the board just confirmed they received my transcript. All that's left is the out of state experience form which was sent back to them last week

That's awesome! I am going to call CBA this Friday to see about my final review, they told me before they are pushing the final review because they are behind the schedule.

Hasy, I am fine. I would happily trade places with you – I don't think I will ever meet the experience requirement. Soooo frustrating.

Just remember the hard part is over. No more exams.

I will be around more now that I am settled in Colorado and new job.

    Stay tuned…

I emailed them this morning and “Deborah” replied back very quick, but somewhat snarky. I would be more than happy to write the capitol in regards to their very apparent and obvious need for more staff. She told me that the wait time is 6 weeks for final review and that our continual emails/calls for status updates actually impedes the process since they have to take the time to answer them rather than finish the review of our applications. >.<

So I don't think I would be allowed another call until I get the status update or whatnot. I'm shaking my head in defeat this ridiculous system.

That's great to hear that you're settled in a new place. I believe that earnestness is everything. Someone will believe in you and give you a bone. Although, I cannot deny that it is very difficult to find a job at the moment, much less one with a CPA. Keep going! Hopefully I see you around more. Maybe when I start applying to new jobs.

@hash, I don't think I ever spoke to the lady you spoke to, when I called, they are pretty nice to answer the questions. Maybe try another time, it will be someone else.
