Today was the fourth time that I have taken BEC. Previous scores were 68,66 and 71. Today’s test was by far the hardest one. Does that mean I passed?? Ha Ha!

@ candothis – Glad to see that I am not the only one. I took it yesterday and I felt the test was pretty hard. Nothing compared to when I took it the first time. Perhaps the AICPA felt they let the pass rate get too high last year (52% during the 3rd quarter)? Or maybe we just did well this time? I'm hoping for the latter.

    Same experience today with FAR.

I took it before in August and this was twice as hard.

I had the same experience with BEC. The first testlet wasn't too bad but the second and third made me feel completely dumb and I ended up passing. I came out thinking, that it was the hardest test yet. I think sometimes you surprise yourself and I hope that is the case for you 🙂

@ candothis – Yeah the WC weren't too bad for me either. But I couldn't believe some of the multiple choice questions I was getting. Not to mention the topics that I was sure would be on the exam only to not get one single question on them. Not sure if this helps but for REG, it was the exact opposite experience for me. I felt the MC were pretty straight forward only to be violated by the SIMs. I was able to squeak by though with a pass.

REG-well, I will get there! I've been out of college 20+ years so I am having to learn this stuff all over. When I took REG back in November, I remember the MC's being pretty straightforward(or so I thought) and yes the SIMS left me with the deer in the headlights look.

Same experience with BEC today! So aggravating. @candothis, I also marked the first question in the first testlet lol. The WCs were on pretty easy topics. Usually the people that say their WCs were crazy were the ones with passing scores :/ I didn't have a great deal of calculations in the 2nd testlet at all… The third had more… I don't feel good about this exam AT ALL >:O

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60

Well I do know that I got two questions right. I had the exact same question on Testlet's 1 & 2.

Bought the Wiley testbank, read the ancillary a million times, took notes on each chapter and rewrote them. The combination of the three really did it. Thought it worked really well for REG. For AUD I took notes and rewrote, clearly it didn't work for me for that section..

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67

I am using Becker. I have been pleased thus far. I thought Becker was great for Audit. I honestly think this test is the luck of the draw. I just dread listening to all those lectures again. for REG. I have so much money invested in Becker, I don't want to switch. However, I do have the Wiley book for all the problems so my strategy is to try to implement as many of those this time for REG.
