Borderline Theory —- Is it true or just people guessing?

One thing I dont understand about people here talking about borderline theory is that AICPA didin’t had enough time already to double check our writing part if it was needed to be graded by human… How long does does it take for a computer to grade our score maybe not even 10 minutes.. Also, what makes you all think that they double check your writing part if you are on the brink of passing or failing? Isn’t it possible that they check your writing part just to make sure that you get a score that you deserve? Has anyone received a score of over 80 after being in the border line or so called border line theory?

I haven't heard of anyone getting above an 80 if their score didn't come out with the rest of the scores. Everything about the AICPA's grading scheme is messed up. Theoretically, with the way they grade every test except BEC, you should be able to see your score the second you finish the test but we all know that isn't the case. No one knows for sure what happens behind the scenes but the borderline theory came from the fact that everyone who has to wait more time receives a score between 70-80. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I haven't heard of anyone getting a score not within that range if their exam score was delayed.

@ MR.Mini thank u for the info… One more question…. If I still hadn't receive my score for BEC and the official release date is August 06, what are the chances that I might still receive my score on August 06. Also, My NTS is 480 and I saw scores released from the same NTS but from different states.. I haven't seen any score released from NTS 480 in VA yet…. Can I still hope for my score to come Monday and if scores don't come on Monday then I guess I am borderlined for sure. Do they release all score on the same day? Is it possible that some candidates will receive score on one day and others will receive on the next business day? I am totally panicking right now 🙁

I think the borderline theory holds true based on how you did on the MCQ's. If you were falling short before the WC, they are manually graded, if you were borderline passing the computer graded WC they give you that score. My first score for BEC was delayed and I received a 72, on my retake I received it on time and receive a 76.

    REG- 81
    BEC- 72,76
    AUD- 67,88
    FAR- 78

    Done!
