After sitting for the FAR, I didn’t think the MCQ’s were out of bounds. The SIMS were clearly harder than the MCQs. I’ve got 90 days to do this right. What review courses did you guys use and how did you do on the FAR sims afterwards?

    BEC - 87 | 02/28
    REG - 70 | 06/10, REMATCH | 08/30

I say NINJA, then Wiley Test Bank….both are pretty good, not on research though. They do help you focus on specific sections of FASB so that kind of helps you come test time to be familiar with the codes, at the very general level.

As for the actual non-research SIMS, obvious I don’t think any can really prepare for SIMs other than learning concepts of materials, but NINJA does do a good job explaining the answers, at least for me, it was better than becker…I didn’t really care for the fancy layouts and interface, I just PRINTED them as needed. If it’s a calc concept (PENSION, or LEASES or BONDS), I thought it was helpful enough to see enough variety of them, print them and just learn them like a book.

scores went from 68 to 73 to 82. The 73 to 82 jump was from investing on extra NINJA MCQ (which has SIMS)…the 68 to 73 was simply re-studying Becker again and realizing “ok I may need something else”. best $47 spent on top of Becker.

    BEC - 68,70,72,75 5/15
    AUD - 78(expired), 77 8/15
    REG - 29,58,65,77 1/16
FAR - 56,68,73 - retake October hopefully (last shot)

Been doing this since 2007 on and off...
