I’m a fresh BSA graduate from another country (CPA board passer from that country) no experience whatsoever in any kind of work and currently reviewing for USCPA been here in the US for 1 month.

Do i even have a chance to get into big 4 or even an internship with them or any other audit firms? or would i be better of to start with accounting jobs and get some experience first?

any other immigrant who had this dilemma i’d really appreciate your replies. I really don’t know where to start or how i will do this, much help is needed.

    Thanks..

You could probably be able to get an intership since you don't have experience. However, if you need a visa, most Big4 don't really sponsor these days unless they see an absolute potential in you. Either way, you can get great experience at smaller CPA firm as well and greater exposure to the overall industry…

I'm a green card holder so there's no problem for any sponsorship. Trying my best now to land an accounting job looking for 0-1 experience. I feel that i'm caught in the middle, no work experience but a bachelor's degree holder and all the job postings are looking for 2 yr work exp. and associate degrees. Now i'm also trying to learn Advanced Excel as well as Quickbooks while studying for CPA. Anyways, thanks for the reply i appreciate it, maybe after i get a general accounting job ill start networking and transfer after 1 yr or so to public accounting.
