ledgermavenMemberI’m making slower progress through this whole review process than I hoped for, as I understand more, have forgotten some, and delve a little deeper into areas previously muddy. Just hard to remember it all! This weekend is bonds and leases which I like.
How is everyone else doing out there?

jomarieParticipantWell my 7 year will be making her 1st Communion in 2 weeks and we're having a party at our house afterwards. Of course between tax season and studying everything is insane. Also the same weekend my little one is turning 2, so we are having a double party. Am I crazy or what? Hopefully after tomorrow things will start to come together.

AnonymousInactiveTomorrow is the first of twelve final review days for FAR so you can bet I'm in for the power weekend! I'll be working a ton of MCQs this weekend, going over my flashcards and trying to evaluate my weaknesses (even though I already have a pretty good idea where those are at, bonds and pensions–ugh!)
Let's all have a productive weekend!

AnonymousInactive@Ashley, how ya feeling? Nervous? Excited? Confident? What has been your approach with the final review?

AnonymousInactiveI am not feeling confident. I have been having a bad week. My job has been stressing me out, I have headaches every night I come home, and I had to move stuff in my apartment (move everything out of one of the bedrooms) and really clean as I am getting a roommate. I just want to get the exam over with. If I fail (I hope I don't) I will know why and I will change things next time. I hate FAR. It's like the more I study, the more I realize there is more I need to learn. Like the older you get, the more you realize you don't know hardly anything. I am just happy to move onto AUD next, which is so much less material. I am going to do things a lot different for my next exam. I just didn't know what to expect as it's my first exam and all. I thought taking FAR first would make it nice to get it out of the way, but I feel like it's making me more depressed about passing the exam. I thought I spent a lot of time for this exam, but I don't even feel ready at all. I guess I didn't realize how much time was really needed. I will focus the rest of the weekend on just doing MCQ and then I will take my exam on Monday. I can't change any exam dates either as my work is not allowing us to take anymore days off until the end of June, and these dates were already approved. P.S. Sorry I am being so negative. I am not in a good mood.

ledgermavenMemberAshley, the pressure sounds stressful.
Make sure to give yourself some breaks during the day, and a allow time for a good nights sleep on Sunday. At least it will be over Monday afternoon and you can take a breather after that.
🙂

wendy12x12MemberAw, Ashley, I feel for you! You can DO IT! I just know the stars will align and everything will fall into place for you on Monday. Everyone is different, but is WAS a good thing for me to get FAR out of the way first. You'll be so happy when you get that passing score!
Good luck!

TrishaParticipantGood luck Ashley! I feel your pain/bad mood. I have take two Audit Thursday. This will be my “first” second attempt. I am nervous as hell to miss the mark again. And not sure how I should feel being its my second time around. One minute I feel confident, the next minute I come across something that looks foreign. Sucks 🙁 But what I have taken from my previous attempts is that I have never felt ready and not sure I really will… It is such a tremendous amount of knowledge. I just remind myself to do the best I can, and at some point I will succeed 🙂
REG 72, 86 and DONE!!!
BEC 80 🙂
FAR 72, 78 🙂
AUD 73, 76 🙂April 21, 2012 at 7:19 am #340331

PeanutParticipantI'm turning 25 tomorrow, and I'm going through a quarter-life crisis 🙁 After to take Becker Final Exam #1 for AUD right now, see where I'm at and if I can schedule for Wednesday or Thursday of this week!
Ashley, I think we can all relate to your pain. Keep trucking girlfriend, know you have a huge support group behind you! We will all be thinking about you come Monday
AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58April 21, 2012 at 2:18 pm #340333
pacific1Participant@peanut – congrats on the birthday! Just think of it this way, you may not be too excited about turning 25 but having your CPA license at 25 is an amazing accomplishment!! Only one more test to go for you and you will be done!
@ashley – good luck! I feel the same about FAR as you…but you can do this and then like you said move on to the next, I like AUD a lot better as well.
I am in this weekend as well, I have a couple things to get done this morning and should be home about noon, I would like to get a good 5-6 hours in…more if I manage to not hit a wall. I am so envious of all those who can study 10-12 hours a day, I need to get to that point. I am wondering if I do 3-3 hour sessions with an hour break in between if I can do it, I will give that a try tomorrow.
Good luck to you all this weekend. 🙂

AnonymousInactive@Ashley, I'm sorry you're having such a hard time. Just remember that you can't possibly know it all–no one does. Focus on your weak areas this weekend and walk into that exam on Monday with a little confidence! What's the saying? Fake it til you make it? Try to let go of some of the stress and anxiety and you'll do great 🙂
@peanut, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
