koliverParticipantWave 1 score release was a few days later than estimated as well I believe so I personally figured it was going to be a similar situation. 🙁

AnonymousInactiveThis being my last section (hopefully)… I have been through this process far too many times. I am very disappointed in the accountability, or lack of, shown by the AICPA in releasing these scores. Unfortunately, the state boards get a lot of the backlash when score releases are delayed as they are the middle men. It seems to me that a professional organization of the caliber of the AICPA should be able to execute this process with more precision. Instead they are completely silent until the scores are released and then the state boards have to handle the hysteria that ensues. I think there are major improvements that could be made to this system. As it is I feel as if we are all just “pledging” this exclusive organization and being “hazed” ruthlessly until we pass the exam!

luckypenny786Participant@Joemark – Jeff usually posts it to Another71 when the AICPA releases scores, and also tries to let us know when NASBA expects to post them. If you join Club75 (which I strongly recommend!), Jeff sends out an email as soon as he knows anything. There's also a little computer program that will check for you and email you once your score is out! I haven't used it yet but I have it set up for this next score release.

yankees144ParticipantI have no idea why it takes as long as it does to grade the tests and complete the administrative work that follows (auditing the test, grades, sending grades to AICPA and recording them, etc. etc.), but I can't imagine it takes a month or two to do so. I am not trying to say they are doing a bad job and I am not claiming that the process is easy, but waiting a month for a grade when you only have 18 months to complete the exam, 2 months of each quarter of which you can even test in, NTS that expire after only 6 months, and a clunky/inefficient (and expensive) application system on top of all of that is unacceptable. This was one of the few exams that I've taken in my life where the grades weren't given within a week, especially when more than 90% of the test is electronically graded.
After every section, I make sure that I comment on the scoring process in the comment box, and I hope that you all do the same.
Sorry, just anxious about my last grade…I really think I failed and I just want to know if I have to start studying again.

AnonymousInactiveI totally agree with you yankees. I am also waiting on FAR and it's also my last section. I'd like to know if I need to start studying again or if I can continue to enjoy a study-free life!!!! My 18 month window is up in a couple months and even if I re-take the exam in a couple weeks, it will take a couple months before I get the score! Ridiculous!!!!!!!!
Good idea on commenting at the end of the section – if I have to take this exam again (and I hope I don't!), I will definitely say that!!!!

AnonymousInactiveI always comment at the end of the exam about slow score releases, exam transparency, the terrible on-screen calculator, etc.
I didn't get to comment on my last exam and boy, I had a laundry list. I feel cheated. Maybe they are tired of my complaining.

The GaJoneParticipantWave 1 of this window came out a full week after Jeff's prediction, so wave 2 being off a few days is not a big deal. After all, a lot of the basis of Jeff's score release predictions are based on when scores were released in the same window the previous year, and in all 4 windows so far this year the AICPA has released scores later than they did in 2009 — and in some cases the difference has been a week or more. You can hardly fault Jeff for that.
My only beef with the score release process is the fact that it's done in batches. When my test is graded, I should get my grade right away. I shouldn't have to wait for everyone else's tests to get graded as well. I know they want to do their little analysis of each question on each person's test and compare answers and blah blah blah, but why can't they just release the scores first and THEN do all that crap? I mean they claim the grades aren't curved at all, so why do they have to wait for everyone's test to be graded before they release any scores? That's crap.
