Hey, I was just wondering if anyone would care to specify what I should really concentrate on in BEC. I know that B5 is important in Becker so I’ll certainly concentrate a fair amount of time there. Is it important to know all the formulas in the finance chapter? I just finished B3 today. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

REG - 10/3/10 - 93

My advice:

-Be VERY comfortable with the calculation problems in B3 & B5

-Memorize the formulas unfortunately 🙁

-Know concepts of B2

-Know concepts of B1

-Realllly review B4.. if possible get an extra test bank from somewhere else for extra IT questions. Becker is a bit weak for those.

How much of the test is on IT, the book actually states 22-28%. It is probably my wrost area, and very unfamiliar territory. Taking the test on Monday and a bit worried.

for B3 and B5 you have to memorize all formulas like Florida Candidate said. B1 is probably the easiest chapter. That being said, you have to really dig in for B4, as the questions tend to be really specific for us cpa candidates

FAR 88 - BEC 86 - AUD 90 - REG 85

If you try and understand what you do in the B3 and B5 areas it isn't so bad. I think I only memorized a couple formulas.
