Just scheduled my BEC retake for 4/2. Will be studying another 8 weeks for this puppy. Should pass the second time around. For those retaking in Q2, are you studying differently? I’m taking the same approach but will focus more on my weaker areas. Let’s do this!!

I took Jeff's advice of covering IT the last day before the exam. I would hit IT and your weakest section that last day or two. No idea if that will help you get to that 75, but that was part of what worked for me.

@Peanut, I'm just using Becker materials and AICPA sample questions/exams. Hopefully it's enough. I really don't want to buy other materials unless they're really cheap. Know of any?

@Tootsie, the Wiley online test bank has 600 MCQ for BEC, so it's easy to bang them out twice. I'm a huge fan of using two test banks when re-studying for a failed exam.

Found some free Gleim practice exams/questions. I think if I reread the Becker book and do the questions again, I should be okay. I really need to study the writing section too. I was weaker in that section, along with 2 others. I only had 30 minutes left to do WC, so I think I could have passed if I did better. Anyways, I'm getting kinda excited and motivated about studying BEC again. Crazy I know, but I am going to pass on April 2, I just know it. Plus, my red panties will increase my score by at least a couple of points, right? 🙂

You can always sample cpareviewforfree.com questions. It looks like Jeff is having a 40% off sale on some of the NINJA materials, which are CHEAP when compared to all of the other options. The only thing I liked Becker for was the W.C. I had no problem with those either time, it seemed very basic for me – format, spelling, etc. and the topics were never too difficult. I also think it helped I just had some college courses on macro-econ, IT, cost accounting. I actually like cost and macro so that was all pretty easy for me. I also took those last 2-3 days to relax, get rested, and just did some light review while hitting those IT questions.

I used Becker Fast Pass in Q3 2011 but switched to Yaeger/Wiley for my re-take.

@RedStorm45, I am hearing that Wiley is good. If I don't pass BEC the 2nd time, I'll look into Wiley materials. I really think I can pass with Becker and other free practice exams. We'll see.

Just ordered the Wiley 2012 BEC text. Has over 700 practice questions and 13 WC. Hope this and Becker give me a pass!
