BEC Passers – I have a question

So I am studying BEC. I’m finishing up Becker’s last Chapter on mostly Cost Accounting and Variance Analysis.

Here’s the question: Did you all see any question on your exams that were 2-3 paragraphs long to explain the data set? Some of these questions are like reading novels. I mean I try to look at the question first to get a feel of what they want, but most of these Becker questions involve reading multiple paragraphs of info before attempting the solution.

Just wondering if these are rare/frequent on the exam.

    Back to studying.

expect this to happen. i think i saw at least 1 question like this on my exam. i liked reading the last line of a question first. many times they are asking for something easy and obvious and you can avoid wasting time reading.

I second makinthemagic. These questions, in some cases, are asking something quite simple and don't require even reading the entire narrative. If you see a long prompt, read for the actual question to help guide your search, and also save time!

    BEC 86 (08/30/11)
    FAR 84 (10/13/11)
    REG 88 (11/08/11)
