BEC doable in 4.5 weeks?

Currently, I’m studying for FAR and will be taking it on 4/27/12. I planned on giving myself 2 days off after taking FAR and jump back on and try to knock out BEC. Would it be doable in 4.5 weeks and wise? I’m not working right now and the exam has my full attention (approximately 45 hrs/week). If not, I would have to take it on the first day of the next window period.

I haven't taken the exam yet, but I would say yes. I allotted 8 weeks and I didn't need the last two, so I moved my test date up. I was studying approximately 30 hours a week, and I go at an extremely meticulous pace, reviewing as I go. If you're going to devote 45 hours a week to it, 4 and a half weeks should be doable. Review as you go, it will help tremendously.

    BEC: (4/2012) 88
    AUD: (5/2012) 91
    REG: (8/2012) 82
    FAR: (1/2013) 78 🙂

YES. do it man if you're not working full-time.

If I didn't have a job I could do it in 2-3 weeks.

    AUD: 8/28/2013

I did it in 3.5 weeks and I found that it was enough time but studying is my full-time job. If you are not working then you definitely can do it in 4.5 weeks and you probably could if you were working too but you will just have to really commit yourself.

    BEC - Feb 2012: 80
    AUD - Feb 2012: 84
    FAR - Apr 2012: 78
    REG - May 2012: 90

    Thanks Becker!

That should be enough time as long as you're not working full time. I just took it after a 4-week review. Definitely doable.

    FAR - Feb 2012 - 86
    BEC - Apr 2012 - 85
    AUD - Apr 2012 - 89
    REG - May 2012 - 78

Agreed. If you seriously spend 45 hours/week on diligent study, you'll probably wish you had moved up your exam date towards the end.

I gave myself 8 weeks (full-time job, 2 year old son, pregnant wife, etc…) and even then I was itching to go to Prometric after about 5-6 weeks.

    AUD - 79
    BEC - 88
    REG - 87
    FAR - 86 - Woot, all done!
    Ethics - 100

You can definitely do it in 2-3 weeks. It really depends on how familiar you are with the major topics to determine how quickly you'll be able to actually get through the material for BEC. Mostly things like econ, finance, and cost accounting give people trouble if they are unfamiliar or find it challenging. In any case, with 40+ hrs/week free you have everything working for you. Give it a shot!

I did all sections except FAR within 30 days of starting the Becker classes. FAR I did within 45 days of starting. All of this was done while working full time. It wasn't fun or pleasant, but it is doable with enough focus.
