I finished all materials last Sunday using Beckers, started their final review on Monday, currently at Section II G. Today I thought: my exam is on Apr. 13th, exactly 2 weeks away, let’s try to do mock exam 1. 15 questions into the 1st MCQ section, I found I forgot most materials I went through. I felt mega-discouraged and was like: screw it, I’m gonna finish all the final review first. So I backed out of it and felt defeated already. Do you guys have the same problem? What should I do?

I didn't take Becker, I used Roger, but I'm sure what you're experiencing is very common, I had a similar feeling right after finishing the material, “What was dollar value LIFO again? What are the Governmental accounting funds again? What were the new revenue recognition criteria again?” I had many many more questions like that. There's so much material, it's so hard to remember everything after going over it once. The good news for you, is that you have two weeks, so my advice, relax, take a deep breath, and just do questions after questions after questions until you get to the exam. You will find just a quick little refresher is all you need to remember it all like you just studied it, and you won't need to go over all of the material again. Sure there might be a few parts you'll want to read up on, but for a large majority, you'll just need a quick refresher. You're not alone, I had a very similar feeling after finishing the material, and I only had a week until the exam unlike you who has two weeks, and I got an 88. Just keep keep keep going over questions, don't stop, and you will pass. Oh, and I'll say this again, RELAX! Don't let the worry and anxiety control you, take a few deep breaths when you get stressed, and relax.

My advice is to go back and retake it. It's not about winning on a mock exam. The mock is a tool that shows you exactly where your weakness are. I got a horrible FAR mock 1 but I knew it wasn't going to be pretty. I needed to see what areas to focus on and it worked. The only exam you have to win is the actual. Good luck!

@Kodiak is correct. It's very easy to get frustrated with wrong answers or low scores during mock exams. I constantly have to remind myself while doing MCQs or SIMs that I'm studying for the exam not actually taking the exam at that point in time. I'd much rather get it wrong now then on test day.

I agree with the the others to relax and we know the saying, Practice makes perfect. Because you keep drilling mcq's and testing with the mock exams will make you more and more comfortable on exam day. Keep going, face the weak areas and slay this monster. Good luck.
