    Hi all –

I have a quick question. I was wondering what the suggested study time for FAR is. I have failed 2 times now and am really hoping to pass this time around. I am using Becker and will supplement with NINJA Notes.

Any suggestions on how many weeks I should take to get a really good grasp on the material?

    Thanks in advance!

I did 9 weeks. 7 weeks for study, 2 weeks for review.

I did 12 weeks and I think it was too much. I think 8-10 is sufficient:

I'm retaking as well. I've done about 6 weeks, one of which I'm leaving for review.

I started studying in January and I've been reviewing since the end of April. I've got a lot of other things going on though. It is the same timeframe for my other exams.

If you have the bandwidth I definetely reccomend trying to do it in less time. I would think 3 months would be doable if you don't have kids.

    BEC - 5/2012 - 91
    AUD - 8/2012 - 89
    REG - 1/2013 - 90
    FAR - 5/2013 - 88

No kids – but I have a full time job.

I was thinking that if I started studying the first week of June I would be ready somewhere in the middle of August which would be about 10 weeks. I'm just mostly nervous since this is my 3rd time around – I'm obviously not grasping something if I keep struggling so this time I want to make sure that I have enough time to really get it going.

Thanks for the advice guys – sounds like 10 weeks is totally doable – and although it might be overdoing it – I can always move the test date up if I feel like I am prepared. 🙂
