the first 30 q’s took me 13 minutes

    second took me about 25

    third took about 20

spent 30 minutes on each sim, and took two nice long breaks.

I cant wait to get my results. I actually feel like I passed this one even though they CONTINE to throw odd q’s and q’s where the clear answer in not determinable. I was so bitter from BEC, that I even took the question #’s down and am going to submit them to the AICPA or whoever writes these exams.

    FAR 78 (took every second)

    BEC 82 (took every second)

AUD – ?? tried to see how fast I could get it done.

    BEC 82 - 1/16, AUD 2/23, FAR 78, REG - April

I did each of the Becker practice finals in 2 hours. I forced myself to go very slowly during the AUD test. After finishing each MC testlet I went back and re-read every question. I was final proofing one of my written and then decided to completely rewrite it from scratch. Even with all that I have over 30 minutes to spare. With just the MC and non-written parts of AUD I would have been done in under 3 hours. AUD was really easy and time was never close to even factoring into my handling of the test.

I was done about 1:45 to 2 hours early as well.

Kind of unsettling, like it shouldn't have gone that quickly. I am a fast test taker but finished FAR with about 10 mins to spare and REG with about 5.

Just took BEC this week and finished 40 mins early.

I am hoping for the best on AUD – score should post tonight!

Atrus that is pretty amazing. I must be a slow test taker because I ran out of time on both FAR and REG and had only 15 minutes to spare on BEC and 30 minutes on AUD (I did stretch AUD quite a bit though just to make sure) and a splitting headache.

Zena – I don't rush through, but I also don't re-check my answers. Just a good steady pace.

It's just me, I was this way in school a lot too. I'm not saying I am brilliant or something (heck, I am just squeaking by, look at my scores!), I just happen to be reasonably quick.

Looks like you've been doing really well, so I'd just keep up with that!

I never go back to a question I already read but tend to stew over it until I'm sure I either know the answer or I can't get a better answer. I'm glad I had a timeline before each exam or else I would've been lost in the MCQs and probably never even get a chance at the second sim. On more than one occasion I had to guess and move on because my self imposed time had ran out for that particular testlet.

I guess, slow or fast, what really matters is to get that 75. Is not like anyone will ask me what my scores were! LOL

We'll both know in a month whether we are done or not. Knowing how scores are released now I'd almost wished I had taken BEC last so with it being the last section you get to know your score first in the release. Good luck!

Thanks Zena – good luck to you too!

My strategy was to take the most difficult first. I didn't want to pass 3 and then be stuck on one section and lose credits. So, I started with what I thought would be the hardest and worked my way back….seems to be working if you look at the progression of grades!

I just took AUD yesterday (Feb 24th). I had 30 minutes to spare. I read each question and answers slowly and then go back and review ones that I marked. I also took my time on the Sims. Their is definitely enough time on this exam.

I feel the same way. When I got to the simulations, I had 2:45 left. I really took my time with the simulations but still finished the test with over 1:30 left. I wondered if either (A) I was so prepared that the test was a total breeze or (B) I didn't spend the proper amount of time examining each question.

I found that quite a few questions were the same word-for-word as the practice MCs I did in BISK. Did anyone else find that to be true? If so, is that the same way it is for BEC?

I never understood why we got so much time on Audit, which is more of a conceptual test, and we get less time on the sections where we actually have calculate answers.

Yeah I ran out of time on FAR, and just went through the first Becker practice exam and finished in roughly 2 hours and got close to 80% of the MC correct. I will obviously spend more time on the WC in the actual exam when I take it on Saturday, but the MC questions take WWWWWAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY less time per question than the FAR questions did. I cannot possibly fathom why you would get more time for AUD than FAR????

    FAR: 81 (1/20) AUD: 88 (2/27) REG: 91 (4/19) BEC: 75 (5/20)
