Hey guys, taking Audit tomorrow, finally! Well I plan on taking the weekend off and then getting back to studying on Monday. Here’s my question for you guys, I want to take either BEC/REG/FAR at the end of May. I am not working (looking) and am not in school anymore (thank the Lord). So I can bust out a 8-10 hour study day if needed. Havent really asked a question yet .. haha what should I take at the end of May? Audit will be my first test I take. Dont really have a preference. I am leaning towards BEC because it seems to be the least amount of material, but if I take the test May 30th or 31st that would give me 5 and a half weeks.. thoughts? I dont want to take the tests in order of difficulty or ease (not really an issue as I have to eventually take them all) but I would like to take a test instead of having to wait til July. Like I said my schedule at the moment allows me ample time to study, but it could change (hopefully). : ) Cheers!

Form is temporary, class is permanent.

    Audit 4/19/12 - 77
    BEC 5/31/12 - 75
    FAR 8/30/12

I would recommend BEC, there is some carry over between Audit and BEC with regards to I/C and I/T.

I did it the other way around, BEC – Audit, but found it to be very useful…

    BEC - 2/13 - 87
    Audit - 4-16 - 99
    Reg - 5-29 - 94
    Far- 8-13 - 97

I use becker self-study, final review, flash cards, wiley test bank, and I make my own flash cards using studyblue.com

BEC was my first exam and I studied for 3.5 weeks and passed on my first try. You can definitely do it in 5 weeks and if you are looking for another exam to take before May 31, then BEC is your best bet. FAR and REG are a little longer but BEC is perfect for the amount of time you will have.

    BEC - Feb 2012: 80
    AUD - Feb 2012: 84
    FAR - Apr 2012: 78
    REG - May 2012: 90

    Thanks Becker!

@Texas27 I'm taking FAR on May 3rd and BEC 3.5 weeks later. What was your study strategy and how many hours do you think you put in?

@ OP.. i would take FAR or REG since your not working right now you should get one of the hard ones out of the way before you start work.. because studying till midnight when youve already worked 10-12 hours is absolutely horrible (I still love my job tho).

    BEC - Passed
    REG - 7/21/2012
    AUD - 8/18/2012
    FAR - 11/10/2012

@EELCPA… I used Becker and did 2 chapters a week (one I did three chapters to give me more time to review). Did progress tests at least once a day during the last 2 weeks and did my final review and two practice tests the last 6 days before the exam. I have done this for all of the sections so far but obviously FAR and REG take a little longer since there are more chapters than BEC and AUD.

    BEC - Feb 2012: 80
    AUD - Feb 2012: 84
    FAR - Apr 2012: 78
    REG - May 2012: 90

    Thanks Becker!

I would definitely say do BEC with your time frame.

I definitely recommend taking BEC next because there is quite a bit of material overlap between BEC and AUD. How long you study for the exam will depend on your study style but I studied about 5 weeks for BEC and I thought that was plenty to cover the material.

I hope AUD went well yesterday!

    FAR 88 (07/15/11)
    BEC 83 (08/31/11)
    AUD 81 (10/15/11)
    REG 83 (11/26/11)

    Used NIU Correspondence CPA Review
