    I got a 62 on this my first time, and I just found out today I got a 69. I can't understand what I'm doing wrong. I'm using Wiley text and CD for additional mc's and sims. I was scoring in the 85 range on everything before the exam. Ive gotten through Reg and Far. Just took BEC today (hopefully passed), so this is my biggest hurdle. I've heard people say that becker was good for audit and that many questions on the actual exam come from beckers materials. All i know is I can't take this exam a 4th time. Someone please give me some solid advice.

    Thanks in Advance.

    My audit exam is May 28th.  I am so angry and frustrated.  AUD is so easy to study and so difficult to pass!  Give me something complicated that I can sink my teeth into.  I hate “easy.”  I made a 74.4 on my Gleim multiple choice practice final exam and a 73 on the Becker final exam.  Gee!  This exam could go either way!  My worst mistake is missisng the call of the question.  I know I will pass the AUD exam; the question is when?  On July 10th I lose credit for REG.

     Lambers has the best teacher for AUD (Garland), if you need a better understanding of the material.  The cost of $300 is the best money that you will ever spend.  Gleim online plus test prep lets me know where all of my weak areas are.  Becker is just too expensive for what you get.

    I am also taking AUD on Friday….here's my dilemma…

    I am studying for AUD, and am scoring around 60-75% on mini 20 question testlets.  What do you suggest for me to get those percents up.

    I am making notes of what I am doing wrong.  Should I just keep reading my notes over and over, or keep doing more and more MCQ, till I have virtually seen a gazillion possible questions.

    Any insight would be appreciated.

    Those 20 question testlets in the becker book are damn near impossible. Anything over 50% is pretty good, IMO. I was scoring in the 60 range on the final exams, and in the 90 range or so on random 100 question MC tests and got an 82 on the actual exam. I also recognized a lot of the questions from the MC question bank on the actual exam itself. I've passed AUD, BEC and REG and on AUD moreso than any of the others did the questions seem most like the Becker MC bank. If you're using Becker, wear those questions out. Forget about the simulations and watching those bozos lecture.

    @eroyall,

     Forget about the simulations and watching those bozos lecture.

    Now that is funny, those lectures were the worst…bad editing!! i am taking aud on friday.  i pray for an 82 like u

    IL - BECKER=============> DONE
    REG - 80; FAR - 65,79; AUD - 53,78; BEC - 71,68, 75 (used becker and yaeger for 3rd BEC)Ethics 95

    Amen to the title of this thread.  I got my audit results back today and got a 73. Got a 71 my first time taking it and really felt great going into and coming out of the exam both times! I just don't get where I am going wrong I have used Becker and drilled in their MC questions and even recognize some of the questions come exam day but still somehow can't get a fricken passing score. Any advice? I also had a supplemental book of Wiley which I really didn't like and seeing my score apparently it didn't work too well. I am going to have to re-take AUD in July/Aug for a THIRD time (god that sucks). I have FAR tomorrow so hopefully I can somehow pull a 75 out and only have AUD to be done with. Real annoying seeing that I passed BEC and REG the first time around and now have failed AUD twice when I felt it was the easiest of the three!!

    jumpshot, i could not agree with you more. i felt great both times as well. i guess its true what they say that they really do give you two correct answers per question. the worst part is they dont even give you the exam back with the right answers, so i cant even figure out whats going wrong. do you guys know of any cpa audit review which is in a classroom setting with a real teacher. I think i need some serious help. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

    I'm taking AUD for my 3rd time on May 30th after failing 2x (70,69).  The 1st time I took AUD I walked thinking I had a 99, and the 2nd time I thought I had around an 80.

    But the truth is you don't know what you don't know.

    I used Yaeger Home Study and did all the suggested MCQ in the Wiley book and some in the Wiley CD.

    Now for my 3rd time, I've done every MCQ in the Wiley CD 3x (i.e, 824 MCQ x 3) and on my 3rd time my avg score was 98.  I've also done all the MCQ in the Wiley book 1x.

    In addition, I purchased Gleim and I'm doing all the MCQs in the Gleim CPA Test Prep (i.e 1,783 MCQs, … I will be done with my 2nd round of those MCQs ( 1,783 x 2).

    So in total, with repeated MCQs I've done over 6,000 MCQs!

    Gleim is awesome!  Those MCQs they give you are so hard!  But, I'm learning what I was doing wrong……

    I also purchased BISK, BISK sucks…don't buy it!

    Good Luck on your 3rd time.

    My advice is, don't worry about the lectures and notes.  Do at least 3,000 MCQ to best your chances of passing and use Wiley CD and Gleim CPA Test Prep….

    Now I hope I pass on my 3rd time..

    BEC=77, FAR=78, REG=73,74,80, AUD=70,69, 84 DONE!

    I only used the Gleim book and test prep software and recently passed audit with a score of 99.  The book and software are only $84.95 so it's definitely well priced and the material prepares you with everything you could possibly need to know to pass audit.

    Gleim didn't work as well for me. I liked Yaeger's video lectures (watched them on slight fast forward).
    Another thing, the Gleim package that I got only let you install the software on 2 systems. I did laptop and home system, but couldn't add it at work. Wiley (comes with Yaeger) is unlimited.
    Yes Yaeger a little more expensive, but still cheaper than Becker and worth it if you pass.

    Gleim FAR 77, BEC 74, REG 73, AUD 68
    Yaeger FAR --, BEC 88, REG 87, AUD 74,86 DONE!

    I think most any review material in the market will give you the information you need to pass.  They all essentially use the same questions anyways.  The main differences in review courses are price, the way in which the material is presented and the companies marketing tactics.

    Garland with Lambers is the best teacher for auditing.  Cost is $300 for 27 hours of instruction. Garland reviews multiple choice questions.

    Yaeger has the best teachers for FAR, REG and BEC.  Dr. Yaeger and Cindy are the best!

    Hello my friend NJCPA2B,

    You might remember giving my courage two weeks ago when I was posting here crying and whining, because I was 100% sure that I failed my 3rd attempt at Audit. Well, I found out that I not only PASSED, but I scored 94! Yayyyy!!!I am DONE with all 4 parts!!! Also I sat on the exam May 12, and I still got my score at first wave!!! Therefore, you can't estimate whether you passed or not!

    Here is the history:
    I studied half of the material from Bisk, and scored 48 at my first attempt.I was shocked!
    I studied really hard and did half of the MCQ in Bisk, and I scored 70. I was REALLY SHOCKED!
    I studied all MCQ from Bisk, and memorized as much as possible on reports. On the actual exam, I felt that 1st Testlet was easy,2nd was hard,and 3rd was hard (trickier answer choices, not straigthforward answers).I was uncertain for approximately 15 MCQ out of 90. I found at least 4 wrong at home!
    I wrote a nice essay,as I used the research tool to browse the Audit standards.
    I guessed 70% of both simulations, and I was hoping to pick about 2-3 points from them at best. Well my score report says Comparable performance on the sims, so I guess everyone struggled with those!
    Advise: memorize all MCQ in your preparation book! Write the essay first, then go to sims and just fill up as much as possible. Essay and MCQ can translate to a passing grade. Don't give up!!!You will be CPA soon!
