<FONT face=”Times New Roman”>I do not have a clue on how well, or how poorly, I did on the CPA auditing exam.  There are no guarantees. Yesterday I started writing notes on things that I saw in the exam.  The simulations on the exam were off the wall!  </FONT>

    <o:p><FONT face=”Times New Roman”> </FONT></o:p>

<FONT face=”Times New Roman”>The sole purpose of the CPA exams is to keep CPA candidates from being CPAs.  Only 45% of the CPA candidates pass each exam and only 10% pass all four parts on the first try.  CPA candidates are weeds that the AICPA would like to pull (rent seeking behavior).  </FONT>

<FONT face=”Times New Roman”>We are not being tested on how smart we are.  We are being tested on our endurance.  As you know, I am 64 years old and accounting is a new career for me!  However, I know that I will be a CPA.  I just do not know when.  I have the will to prepare.  I do not get discouraged.</FONT>

<FONT face=”Times New Roman”>There was extra pressure to pass this auditing exam.  I lose my credit for the CPA Regulation exam on July 10th.  I cannot take the auditing exam again until July.  </FONT>

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you got the 75 you need (or above)!

I took Reg on 5/12 and I seem to be stuck waiting for results again.   I am back to studying Aud.  I am aiming for July 2nd if I can feel comfortable enough to get the prep work done in time if not I am not taking until I am ready.  There will not be a 7th try at audit if I can help it.  Six will be more than enough.

I think a big part of this exam is strategy.  I do believe they test endurance as you said.  If they just wanted to know if we knew the content I don' think they would try to trick us as much as they do in the quesitons.  It all comes down to what you can handle and not freak out about.

We all know that the grading process
involves black magic, dead cats the alignment
of the planets and the feng shui
    coefficient of the eternal equinox.

So who knows what grades will actually be assigned.

One statistic you did not mention.

Something like 83% of all candidates who continue to trying eventually make it.

Keep the faith, stay on the road, move forward.
