I have noticed something while I was practicing MCQ in audit. Tim Gearty suggested that the best way to answer the multiple choice is to answer the question before looking at the options. I realize, I can’t seem to do that with any of the multiple choice, however I can answer the question and get most of the questions right just from elimination.

In fact, if you asked me, what is required of a compilation report on the spot, etc. I wouldn’t be able to answer you AT ALL. If you gave me 4 options, I am sure I can narrow it down and give you the answer. This isn’t the case for FAR or BEC where you look at an answer and eliminate them, you still have to go through the concepts/math etc.

So my question, is this a bad thing? Will it bite me come test time, when my choices may or may not be trickier? Thank you for the feedback.
