The biggest difference that I made in my study strategy is that I purchased Becker’s Flash Cards and had every single one of the flash cards memorized from beginning to the end. I did every adjusting entry simulation that I could find. I figured out the best way to navigate through the research questions. I also read 15 pages of Ninja notes every day that I studied. Probably read the whole thing 5 times. I wish I would have done this the first time and saved a ton of time and frustration. Good luck to all.

Congrats! What was your strategy for the research sims? I had absolutely no problems with the FAR and Reg research sims, but I just did Becker's 3 A1 research sims and only got 1 of 3 correct. I feel like they are much more difficult than the other test's.

Hey hawkmante: congratulations- good to see that you passed Audit! I use to read your random posts .

This post inspired me so much . I might need to change my study plan. I might follow your strategy , I am planning to retake this exam end of this month.

I just got 74 in my Audit after my second attempt with 62 in my last score. It was heart breaking initially but what can I do!! LOL

But do you think studying Becker audit book page by page is good strategy ? what else you can suggest?

I haven't taken the audit exam yet, but studying Becker page by page is always a good idea. And, that doesn't mean just reading each page. It means actually learning the material on each page including the smaller details which the test is likely to pass. For me, this means going back after watching the lecture page by page and making note cards on practically anything that could be tested. Then, I go back and review those notecards until I know them by heart. Only then do I start the multiple choice.

I would know where to look in the Authoritative literature, go to that section, then enter the relevant information and search just that page. Its probably not the recommended technique but it worked for me every time. Also, this last time I went through all of the MC questions really fast and left more than 2 hours to work on the SIMS and look the ones up that I was not sure about. Other than that I really just made sure I understood the concepts.

74.. how heart wrenching.. All you need is one point in the next testing window. I know peanut study plan involved reading the becker book a couple of times and it worked out great for her. I did not open it once this last time. Not because I did not think that it was GREAT material. But, because I was on my fourth rodeo with it and I had been down that way a few times. Every time I missed a question I would look up the exact reason I missed it and would then write down in my own words why it was wrong and what the correct answer was and why it was the correct answer. I believe I had the knowledge memorized, I was just not using it analytically.

WE ARE DONE!!!!!!!!!!!! I was talking to my fiance at dinner.. She goes I wonder how peanut did. LOL, she has never been on here and knows you guys. This forum and people like you Jomaire, kricket.etc. I could go on forever made the experience much easier. Just to know that someone could possibly be out working you, or to know that people kept persevering when crap started to hit the fan helped to motivate me on those late week nights and early mornings.. Thanks PEANUT.

BTW my firm just merged and I got shuffled into Auditing. IRONY at its finest.
