This process is just crazy. I still can't believe I just started studying (hopefully) my final section. I can remember clear as day sitting here about 7 months ago trying to decide which order to study…not having a clue what I was up against.

I started with AUD because I believed it would be my hardest…after that it was a total guess what order to go in. What I will tell people is my only advice is don't start or finish with FAR. It is too overwhelming – had I started with it, I think I would have been more likely to fear/give up on the rest just due to the amount of material. Compared to that I think the rest seem much more manageable. I would also have hated to face FAR at the end…I hate tax, so REG will probably be a bit challenging, but having the others behind me will help motivate me through this one.

Part of me is excited that I'm on the last one and I will use that to get through it, because a larger part of me is tired of this crap! lol I'm so ready for my life to not be consumed with school/studying/exams…

    AUD 85 (2/12) Using Becker
    FAR 81 (5/12)
    BEC 79 (7/13)
    REG 85 (10/1)

FAR is the closest thing next to hell…lol…I decided to take FAR first because of the amount of material covered and up to this day I do not know how I passed :)…REG has a lot of material, but it does not compare to FAR…I started the CPA journey on Feb 27 of this year, and August 13 will be the end of this nightmare!!! 😉

advice for newbies-wear a diaper on exam day. It will make your life a lot easier. Huggies and Pampers are very comfortable ;]

best advice I've heard so far. Wish I heard it before taking all of the sections though, becuase taking the test while wanting to go to the bathroom for 2+ hours is something you don't practice for, but something that is definitely in store for you come exam time.

    FAR - 85 November 2011
    AUD - 81 January 2012
    REG - 68 March 2012
    BEC - 86 April 2012
    REG - 92 July 2012

I am not going to say FAR is easier/harder than the others, but it for sure has the most material to cover by far. Its a great one to start with because you can take as long as you need to get through the mountain of material without having a timer ticking along.

But let me tell you this, it doesn't matter in the end which one you take first because these are all just excuses. You're going to have to study hard for these tests and make time. The best thing you can do is not lie to yourself and say you studied when you didn't, because then when you fail you will feel like a failure, when you very well know you didn't put in the quality study time needed.

    Stop planning and start studying!!!

To draw inspiration from a line from the movie 40 Year Old Virgin:

“There were four parts to that test….and they all hurt equally.”

    A - 93 - 10/25/2011
    R - 92 - 1/17/2012
    B - 91 - 5/31/2012
    F - 93 - 10/1/2012
    E - 90 - 11/17/2012

    Processing...
