Seen a lot of posts that nothing can really prepare you for audit sims, so I haven’t looked at any sims. Thoughts?

Texas27-I'm with you. I just closed out Wiley. Closed my books. Put my notebook away and I'm done.

Audit tomorrow at 11:30. If I don't know it know, I'm not going to know it tomorrow!

To answer Tina, my review consisted of Wiley, AICPA questions, a few sims and one research. No full practice tests..I just don't do them.

I'm tired and my neck/back ache. Tomorrow night I have a date with a glass of Merlot and the Real Housewives.

Good luck everyone!!!! I'll report back as well. 🙂

Taking audit tuesday. I'm NOT feeling prepared at all. I have so much yet to review.

For the SIMS, I failed twice because of them. Nothing that I reviewed as far as mock SIMS could have me prepared for them. DEFINITELY use at least 2 hours for the SIMS!! It helps so much to have time to research the tab.

So this is my plan: 40 mins each MCQ testlet and 2 hours for the sims.

I suck at transaction cycle and I hate that both exams I took (and failed) I have almost NOTHING on that. Maybe one MCQ. Hoping to be lucky in that manner again tomorrow. And you guys too!! 🙂

GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!! It feels so good to have this place and not be alone!!! Thanks you guys!

Does anyone know if Government topics are as heavily tested on AUD as they are on FAR?

    BEC - 79
    FAR - 85
    AUD - 81
    REG - 91

@ Tina – Thanks for the suggestion. I JUST realized I actually have access to them. I always thought it was something additional which I had not purchased. I will do both tomorrow.

Good luck everyone! Looking forward to reading your experiences (though sometimes they scare me more than anything!) And remember to RTFQ!!!

    B 71 - 79 EXPIRED
    A 69 - 75 EXPIRED
    R 65 - 48 - 45
    F 56 - 61 - 65 - 64

I haven't taken FAR and many people mention that journal entries are tested in audit. I have not seen one journal entry in my review materials. Is it worth to try to find some info on this topic? Not sure it's worth the time at this point.

Alright so I just got back from AUD… I really have no idea how I feel about it, I think it could go either way depending on how I actually did on the multiple choice. The MCQ were okay and I think I did decent unless I made some careless mistakes which is highly possible. There were a few that I took a complete guess on but I did see a few that were very similar to becker questions. The simulations weren't terrible but they were not easy by any means. I left myself 2 hours for the sims so I could use the research tab for stuff I didn't know. I know I got the research question and one other sim completely right. I think I only missed one maybe two things on 2 other sims, and the last three sims were hard and I'm not sure how I did on them so we will see! Good luck to anyone that is taking it in the next couple of days!

    Thanks Becker!

I'm taking audit tomorrow. About to take a practice exam tonight (just the 90 MCs). What % on a practice exam the night before do you think would translate to a 75 tomorrow? Anyone with experience? I think I'd be estatic if I can get a 70 on the Becker exam right now. Maybe even a 60+ on Becker could result in a passing score tomorrow (+5 for Becker is tougher than CPA, +5 for CPA scale, +5 for memorizing for 3 hrs tomorrow). Is this realistic?

I wouldn't try to compare Becker final exam to the real exam unless you're equally comfortable with all the audit areas. Theoretically, and I'm not sure about this, the final exams should be composed in similar proportions for the tested topic but you still might get different questions on the exams.

OMG I'm so freaking out right now my hands are shaking in anticipation of tomorrow's exam. It's gonna be horrible. I am so NOT ready, there are so many concepts I still don't get. Anyone has tips on how to calm down?

    Thanks and good luck!!!!

Sleep so you can think clearly. I'm totally sleep deprived, exam @8am and all the concepts are mixed up in my head. Hopefully tomorrow it will all come together.

Good luck everyone taking the test tomorrow, may we all summit Mount CPA.

I posted in the AUD thread but thought I would post here, too.

I took Audit today. The SIMS were brutal – no way I could have studied for them. Luckily I got the research question relatively quickly. There were lots of obscurely worded MCQ's. I don't know why they have to word questions the way they do. Why not just be direct in what your asking for? Just like happened in FAR, there were some areas I thought would be heavily tested that only showed up in a question or 2.

I'm not going to say I'm certain I didn't pass because my FAR score is proof that you can't tell how you did. It's going to be a long wait til next week.

Good luck to everyone testing tomorrow and Wednesday. Please report back and let us know how it went!

@apbandj…. I agree with you, on my test today there were so many multiple choice that were very poorly worded and I really have no idea how I did on them. There were also some very small areas of my studying that showed up multiple times on the test and some large areas that only showed up once or twice. I really don't get what they are trying to do with those poorly worded questions. This isn't this GMAT, it is the CPA exam and no one in practice is going to use obscure wording to try and trick you.

    AUD - Feb 2012: 84
    FAR - Apr 2012: 78
    REG - May 2012: 90

    Thanks Becker!
