I noticed 3am appointments available when I scheduled REG last Monday with Prometric, and I thought it was a typo. When I spoke to the guy running the Prometric site yesterday before my REG exam, he told me that they indeed had added 3am appointments to accommodate all of the test takers.

I knew AICPA added appointments, but 3am is amazing.

    3am???

Wow! The only way is to stay up late for several nights before, getting up very late (like at noon) for several days.

    Kinda like adjusting for jetlag.

Then consume an insane amount of caffeine the day of the exam.

3am isnt unheard of. At the end of the last testing window, I drove down to GA from NC to take an exam. It was literally my closest option, but it had to be done. 2 speeding tickets and a flat tire later, I made it to my test with 30 minutes to spare. Since it was at 4am, I was exhausted, but did my best. Scored a 78 on AUD! It was awesome, my wife bought me a new car. Honestly, taking a test in the early hours of the morning isnt as bad as it sounds.

i feel bad for the people at the testing centers on that shift.

timetobedone–2 speeding tickets? how do you get 2 speeding tickets, a flat tire, and still get to your test on time? You are either a mechanic or you're actually Jimmie Johnson, NASCAR extraordinaire!

I think a 3am exam could work out well so long as you prepare for it a day in advance, like waking up at 4pm the previous day and have 10 hours to cram right before the exam. I did a similar thing for my FAR exam, which was an 8am test. I got back from some open house at 7:30pm the night before, slept until midnight, and then crammed until the exam. It wasn't too bad because I wasn't that tired for the test and had a lot of cram time right before the exam to keep stuff fresh.
