Just curious if anyone has gone into FAR with less than a trending score of 85% or whatever your review course says to achieve and you still passed? I still have two more days of studying but I am not sure I will make it to that 85%.
I feel like Gleim didn't help me much at all.. I only used Gleim online so not the book or test bank, just the lecture videos followed by two multiple choice tests and 7 sims for each unit. I filled 7 legal pads taking notes.. but I feel way more prepared from hitting the Wiley TB and stopping to research in study mode to figure out what I did wrong, and try to get a good grasp on everything. Sometimes when I needed to watch a video on a calculation I would go find one on youtube.. the Gleim videos were basically just a guy reading from slides the whole time, including the rare times when they showed calculations, it just seemed like he would read off the answer and not give explanations as to why it was the answer.

Yikes. I hope I made a good choice to do this then. I passed all of the parts of the CIA exam using Gleim, debated it when I chose CPAexcel over it, and now am using it as a refresher. I have the test bank and the whole package. Really hard figuring out how I learn this stuff the best (a large part of the battle).

I hear the test bank and book are pretty good, I got it mostly for the lectures and that's what I was disappointed with, I wish they were more to the point I guess haha

@jstay – Your trending is probably low because with that little amount of questions you may not have hit all the different areas. For example, I always start out by going through each level and doing appx 50% of the questions. Until I reach the last segment, my trending score is always skewed.

I know I was less than 85% trending. I did all of the MCQ and SIMs however. I think I was in the lower 70s when I finished. However, I studied a lot at work which made me pick a lot of wrong answers because I'd get distracted or try to finish a question when the phone started ringing or something.
@klink24 I am about 25 percent with WTB with a score of 70% overall.. did you do all 1600 MCQ? and all SIMs?

All MCQs, and just read the SIMs to get a feel for what to expect. Did this for all sections. SIM scoring is horrible in CPAExcel and WTB so I never even took the time out to do them.
@Stgeorge, I took one practice exam prior to taking FAR and I feel like it was a waste of time. Never took another practice exam afterward. Others can give you their take on it, but I'd rather be spending that 4 hours going over topics I may be a bit weaker on or actually finishing WTB.
