So after 5 weeks I just finished the videos. I was doing the assigned homework videos after each video until I found Jeff’s method then I went straight to watching the videos with intense notes. I felt as though after all those videos I didn’t learn much. I also just wrote Jeff’s notes and started to do mcqs and feel like I’m learning more with the mcqs and Jeff’s notes than anything yaeger went over. The lectures were so boring and long. At the end of each video they would go over IFRS and by that time I was done. Anybody else have this problem? Just curious what everyone thinks about this program? I’ve only used them for FAR which is what I’m studying for now. 48 hours of videos I think is a waste of time.

Jeff (or anyone else), on the study plan where you say to pound the MCQs, do you mean MCQs only on what we've studied so far, or the entire content of the exam?

As for Yaeger, I'm using it for FAR as I have a learning style where it helps to see things explained in action. I take notes as the video goes along. When it comes to the MCQs in the videos, I pause the video and try the MCQ before Yaeger does the question. To each their own though, Yaeger definitely isn't for everyone.

@Jeff – thanks! Believe it or not I actually signed up for that a while ago – it was in the middle of the whole just-starting-my-cpa-experience-but-now-it's-nice-outside-and-I-want-to-play madness so I must have missed it somewhere. I will go back and look though!

@cpahopeful2828 – That's pretty much how I studied for AUD. My last week and a half was nothing but the test bank and taking/reviewing notes. Hopefully it works for FAR as well!

I used Yaeger for FAR and I passed on the first try. I used it for every other section as well; you can see my pass/fail scores below. Overall, Yaeger is great. The times that I did fail, (Aud once & Reg once), I was always within 1 or 2 points of passing. I would highly recommend Yaeger.

    Good luck!

@MCLKT how did you tweak the NINJA method? Just curious.

Not knocking yaeger. I just thought the lectures were a little long and that since I've been doing mcqs I feel like I've learned more and studying and rewriting Jeff's notes has helped too. 48 hours is extremely long for study.
