Guys,

I am doing the AICPA FAR releases from 2005 to 2009. I am sone with 2007 and 2008. It looks awefully easy. Do you guys think the real exam will be the same way. Any thoughts???

No, the exam is not easy – those are released questions. Could be released because they were easy, poorly worded, confusing, etc. What review matwrial are you using. Becker questions seemed like they covered FAR pretty well.

I am using beckers review. I am done with all the questions there and though why not to give it a try on AICPA releases. It looks like I am just wasting my time doing these.I am giving my exam on oct 1 and do not want to buy other test banks.

have you tried the MCQ from cpafreeware

a guy that had done well on the FAR exam wrote that he would make notes on the MCQ he got wrong. Just the main concept of what he missed. He would re-write, edit and re-read these notes. By the time of the exam these were no longer his weak areas. He made a mid 90s on FAR if I recall.

I do use the Gleim test prep bank and like those. About $60

I have tried questions form cpareviwforfree.com. Those questions are definately good to boost up your confidence and understand the concepts well. I do not want to buy the other test banks, not because of the cost, just because I only have nine days and I want to read the chapters and redo the becker questions all over again. I really appreciate your help.

I studied the AICPA released questions and found them very helpful as far as what they will ask and how it may be asked. They will not use these again verbatim, but the topics are very similar. The ratio questions were especially helpful.
