After FAR, do you recommend BEC or AUD?

So now after passing FAR I am planning next to hit one of two either BEC or AUD. What do you guys advise me to take next?

Basically, from your experience, do you think BEC is easier than AUD or is it the other way round?

Any feedback will be appreciated. Please note that I will have less time to study as it gonna be my peak season.

Congratulations for passing FAR! Definitely take AUD next since you will find questions related to FAR in the AUD exam so take it while FAR is still fresh in your mind.

    FAR: 91 (02/06/2012)
    AUD: 89 (02/09/2012)
    BEC: 79 (02/12/2012)

I agree. Take audit which talks a lot about f/s disclosers, and other f/s related items.

After that take REG which closely connects with BEC and business entities

AUD without a doubt. BEC is arguably easier, but there is so much overlap with FAR/AUD that it is very beneficial to take AUD while FAR is relatively fresh in your mind.

Congrats on FAR! I remember us posting about the Becker Final Exam results – thankfully we both made it ok!

I would recommend that you take AUD next because there is some overlap between AUD and FAR. There really is not much between FAR and BEC.

Thanks for your advices friends, My only concern is that will there be enough time for me cover Aud in about 6 weeks of study and I have no Audit experience? Further, As I said, it will be my peak season at work!

I think Comparatively BEC covers less topics.

Second thing is that I have just last year finished CMA (Certified Management Accountant) and I can see many topics in BEC related to cost and Management accounting which I am master in it. Having said that, do you guys still recommend Aud next?

    Please help !!

I took BEC on October 21 and then took AUD on November 30, leaving about 5 weeks to prepare for AUD. I thought it was plenty of time and I have no audit experience. At the time, I was working but not busy season hours. It all depends on how many hours a week that you think you can study.

I didn't have any auditing experience as well and I did just fine. I'm a CMA holder myself and your statement about BEC is totally true (as Jeff once said, think of CMA as BEC on steroids). Instead of delaying AUD, I would recommend taking both AUD & BEC at the same testing window (beginning and end of May) since you won't need much time to prepare for BEC but it would depend on your own preferences. 6 weeks are enough with proper planning (Roger's AUD lectures are amazing btw and you will understand auditing instead of memorizing it).
