    “so i took audit the first time in 1Q and received a 42…..i put in a good solid 2 weeks of studying i know thats not enough to pass these exams so i took it again in 2Q ….easily put in 200+ hours viewing lectures, reading/writing notes, reading textbook, and working MCQ after MCQ with Wiley + Becker……got my score back received a 46!! wow….i am really in shock/depression because now i do not know how to attack this beast….on a side note I have no audit experience….but neither do some of my classmates who I was on par with in school and they still managed to pass…..on another note I have passed 1 exam BEC (76) but that expires next May….anyone that has good advice for a great study plan I really would appreciate it…because apparently I am doing something wrong….I am desperate/determined to pass this part of the exam (and how do people feel about tutors are they worth the expense?)

    Constant Pain, that sounds very discouraging. (Did you post this earlier?) If I were you I'd get different study materials. Maybe take a live class if any are available. Do you have a friend or coworker with whom you can study? I studied, in part, with a coworker and it really helped me to talk to a live person. I could also discuss my studies with my bf. He's a CPA for 30 years so it's not like he remembered all the specific points but at least we could talk about it.

    If there is no fellow accountant to speak with, is there anyone else? Even if they don't understand what you're talking about. I find when I am forced to SPEAK I'm also forced to really think through the concepts.

    On that note, I'd say a tutor is a good idea.

    @ConstantPainAgain, I would take evesocal's advice and take a live class. I took the Becker live course and it helped immensely. It's not that the exam material was terribly difficult in terms of understanding/comprehending it for me. It was more that everything got jumbled in my head after studying such a voluminous amount of information. The instructor for the live course would have us put titles at the top of the pages to help us categorize the information. Some of the sections in Becker are so long that you forget what you're reading about (compilation, review, etc.) Perhaps you can go through yourself and see if that helps and if you still find yourself struggling, you can look into the live class. It's expensive, but it was incredibly well worth it for me when it came to AUD. Will work pay for it? I was fortunate enough that my employer paid for the courses. Good luck!

    AUD: Attempt 1: 60; Attempt 2: 78
    BEC: Attempt 1: 75 (lost credit); Attempt 2: 80
    FAR: Attempt 1: 74; Attempt 2: 74; Attempt 3: 78
    REG: Attempt 1: 76 (lost credit); Attempt 2: 68; Attempt 3: 80

    Finished 11/01/2013!!!

    Like I said in a previous post, I haven't passed Audit yet but I can give the best advice I have!

    I would read up on all the ways other posters have passed Audit. I know there are several people that took more than once to pass Audit and have put out thier study plans. They both seemed to pass after they got serious and changed up thier study plan to tailor thier needs.

    I am doing the same kind of thing. I am changing up my study plan and adopting one of the other poster's plan into my own.

    You can do it!!

    {R: PASSED!! (I passed one!)}
    {B: PASSED!! (Halfway there!)}
    {F: PASSED!! (1 left!!!)}
    {A: PASSED(I am done!!)}
