Sounds like your situation is very similar to what I had. I took Far like a year ago with my other 3 sections in 3-4 months. By the time, I got to FAR I was all wasted and couldn't study anymore. I ended up passing other 3 but failed FAR and it kept dragging… I needed a break, after that busy season started and work load increased, used 3 weeks of my vacation to visit my country etc. But main reason for not taking FAR was the fact that whenever I try studying, I was getting discouraged with the amount of the material it covers…
I was trying to read the whole book again and solving all becker questions. But It was taking too long… So this time I put the book away and focused on questions. I was first reading my 2-3 page(for each 9 sections) notes and then solving Becker questions. Considering the amount of time passed since the last time I did those questions, I wasn't really remembering answers. So it was good…
I am not sure if you still have notes from the last time you studied. If you don't, I would utilize Becker book and just read highlighted sentences. Also, when I was done with all Becker questions, I finally opened the book and read through most of those highlighted parts. It helped me to grasp things that I missed and connect everything all together. It was a very quick review considering I already knew what was going on and ignored all other “less important” stuff.
Last 5 days, I would finish Becker Final exams. Keep in mind that it will be way harder than the actual one. Also, utilize Becker flashcards, if you have. They are “fun” and don't really take too much of your time. Save the ones that you think that they are crucial (for your final review).
Last 2-3 days… I would check all released FAR questions (2006-2011). They will make you feel way better and confident. My experience is that these questions represent more of a “medium level testlets.” During the exam, your questions will get wordy and harder if you do well on that medium testlet.
Anyway, I have just taken my FAR exam yesterday. I was confident but nervous before the test. After the test, I was feeling iffy because of sims but I still believe I will pass…
Long story short, if you feel the same way about work load. Do what I did. Material is not that hard but it is just tedious. This strategy made that disadvantage “disappeared” for me. Hopefully, it will work for you as well
