I’m taking my first section ever on 4/1/13 on FAR. I have 2 weeks left to study.

I’m using Yaeger and went thru all the information. I feel like i have a decent understanding of all subjects except governmental and not for profit (I havent even put in the time fully understand it yet..). My problem is it’s been a few weeks to a month since i’ve done some of the older subjects so I can’t remember a lot of little details.

How do you suggest I cram? Should I go thru as many mcq’s as possible? Go back and freshen up on all subjects? Both? How should I allocate my last 2 weeks? I’m freaking out! Any tips for a newbie would be greatly appreciated.

    FAR 4/13 done
    AUD 5/13 waiting
    REG 7/13
    BEC 8/13

Well don't freak out! A lot of us have been there.

I would study govt. and nonprofit. Then do nonstop MCQ as many as you can each day 100+. How much time do you have in the next two weeks? If you put in the hours you can do this.

However if you really feel like you aren't ready you can push the exam back?

    A - 61, 91!!
    B - 78!
    F - 76!!!
    R - 71, 73, 74, 69, 77!!!!

    Finally done!

This is my 2nd attempt at the exam, I had two parts passed (failed many) and I stupidly quit, big mistake. Now I'm back and with a vengeance!

Agreed that you need to do practice MCs until you're blue in the face! Also, I truly believe the ninja notes are worth the money. If you can afford it go for it and rewrite the notes five times in your own words! I did that and five practice exams online (Wiley online comes with my Roger review) all in one week before te exam and passed! I didn't do nearly enough problems or have the ninja notes the first two tries at FAR but know the endless problems and ninja notes were what I need to pass! Breeeeeeathe and good luck! 🙂

    FAR: PASSED!! 64, 68, 79 on 2/27/13!
    AUD: PASSED!! 73, 93 on 4/5/13!!!
BEC: PASSED!! 75 (phew) on 5/24/13!
REG: PASSED!!! 77 on 8/7/13 I AM DONE!!!!!

    Experience: got it!
Ethics Exam: PASSED on first try (what a waste of money)

Oh and @LSNYC is right- you really do need to know governmental and NFP. They bombard you in the MC and all three of my FAR tests had a simulation on _________! You really do need to know it!

Non stop MCQs. Do atleast 200 MCQs a day.

I am also taking FARE on April Fools Day

Governmental is not as hard as you think… take a day of those 2 weeks and read it and make the MQs for it.

I still need to practice Leases and Pensions then ill start a full Review on everything again and do as many MQs i can

    hopefully that will be enough

Government and Not-for-Profit are quite rudimentary (in presentation on FAR) compared to many of the other topics, yet they make up approximately 20% of the test. In other words, they are often make-or-break topics that are frequently overlooked but should be easy ways to get points.
