Advice needed for FAR

    I have taken FAR 4 times and still cannot pass this monster! I have always used Becker to study for this exam, but I felt sick of studying the same material each time I re-studied because I felt that I knew the questions already. I am getting very frustrated with this exam and I think that I must have done something wrong or maybe I should use a different material. Has anyone used a different material/test bank that you recommend? I really need some advice!

    Thank you so much!

    I have used Becker only too for FAR, but I am assuming u might not have understood the concepts quite clearly, and just went on doing the questions? For me, I believe actually understanding the concepts is way more important than doing whole bunch of questions.

    Did u watch the lecture videos from Becker? Cuz that is quite critical for understanding the core concepts in FAR.

    In your case, I think u should consider using a new material, since I am assuming u used Becker 4 times already?

    I used Becker for all 4 sections and also used Roger cram for the last one I took. I found his approach very interesting and a bit different from Becker. Roger also has regular courses which may be very good.

    I purchased the Wiley online test bank for more questions.

    I also bought NINJA notes and they are great – you can read them, build your own notes from them, and/or write them over.

    Sometimes a person just needs a change of scenery and there are loads of review materials out there. Don't give up!

    @fanfan…

    I would definitely recommend a teaching course like Yaeger. I used both their Home Study and Cram for FAR… the main difference between the 2 is they go over a lot of MCQ's and SIMS in the Home Study and you also get access to the instructor hotline with the Home Study. I think I learned more from the Yaeger course than I did the whole time in college – lol. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any specific questions about Yaeger… apbandj@gmail.com

    Good luck to you! And don't give up! I have a feeling you will see a huge difference just by switching review courses. Becker is great for some, but it doesn't work for everyone.
