My FAR test is on Feb. 28th. 11.5 days left. I have been reviewing as I have been going along but not extensively.

I’m only about halfway through F10. Partnerships,AROs, VIEs, debt restricting are not too bad. The other sh** I just don’t know if I need to learn. I feel like I’m wasting my time on accrued expenses (FICA, warranties, etc) and financial instruments.

I’m not very fast at MCQs and so finishing up the rest of F10 will probably take me the rest of the afternoon.

    I don’t know if I should:

    a) write out notecards of major items/calculations from 1-9 chapters and do chapter 10 when I get to it.

    b) just start with F1 and start doing all the MCQs

    c) finish F10 and then do either ‘a’ or ‘b’

IM SO OVERWHELMED WITH MATERIAL, I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO FREAKING REVIEW

11 DAYS IS NOT ENOUGH TIME TO REVIEW šŸ™

    NEED HELP PLEASE šŸ™

    AUD- 97 1x
    REG- 81 1x
    BEC- 79 1x
    FAR- 88 1x

    DONE!

    10/1/12 to 2/28/14

MCQ help with journal entries too as some of the problems are, the majority of journal entries should be familiar from college and should be sort of common sense (Plus you get to choose entries from a list of choices on the exam). Spend time on the ones you are very familiar with like pension obligation maybe, treasury stock entries and what not, distinguish cost basis vs accrual so you have the amounts right. Obviously no need to focus on a sales/cash entry or something simple, study the weird ones. Gains vs Losses, which goes on the left and which on the right side. And my biggest nightmare, deffered taxes, those always show up.

    FAR - 71, 68, 74, (8/31/14) 78 āœ”
    REG - 67, 71, 71, (10/18/14) 78 āœ”
    BEC - (11/29/14) 86 āœ”
    AUD - 73, (4/4/15) 86 āœ”

I can't believe this is over! 2 years and 3 months..

Judging by the comments and my vague knowledge of Becker, F10 is gov/nfp correct? On my awful FAR 74 I will give you 3 guesses as to what my ONLY “weaker” topic was. No joke. Do not skip on those journal entries and SIMS! The concepts are a little funky but not so technically difficult that your brain will melt drilling them, IMHO. If you can tighten up the journal entries and the terminology you will be in great shape for exam day.

Glad to hear that you are “working from home” and best of luck!!!!!!!!!!!! šŸ™‚

My bad! Glad to hear you didn't run out of steam on Gov/NFP!!! šŸ™‚

Those concepts are highly annoying but will bite you in the tail if you neglect them but it seems you've got a good handle on what to do between now and test day! Fingers crossed for you @Jason!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Guys,

I'm in the same boat and totally panicking. I'm taking FAR 2/28 and I only have like 800 questions done out of 1,500. I'm using Becker. Not looking good but I just took a deep breath and rearranged my game plan. I'm switching between the Sims and final review until game day and making sure I have chapters 8 and 9 down pat (govt. and not-for-profits). Also, going to do the sample exams if I have time. I'll try and do those the day before. I'm gonna give it my best shot and if I fail, I fail. I'll just retake. Can't give up right?

    Any other suggestions?

Good luck and just know that other ppl are in the same boat. Do the best you can but if you fail it's not like it's the end of the world. It's just an exam.
