My FAR test is on Feb. 28th. 11.5 days left. I have been reviewing as I have been going along but not extensively.

I’m only about halfway through F10. Partnerships,AROs, VIEs, debt restricting are not too bad. The other sh** I just don’t know if I need to learn. I feel like I’m wasting my time on accrued expenses (FICA, warranties, etc) and financial instruments.

I’m not very fast at MCQs and so finishing up the rest of F10 will probably take me the rest of the afternoon.

    I don’t know if I should:

    a) write out notecards of major items/calculations from 1-9 chapters and do chapter 10 when I get to it.

    b) just start with F1 and start doing all the MCQs

    c) finish F10 and then do either ‘a’ or ‘b’

IM SO OVERWHELMED WITH MATERIAL, I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO FREAKING REVIEW

11 DAYS IS NOT ENOUGH TIME TO REVIEW šŸ™

    NEED HELP PLEASE šŸ™

    AUD- 97 1x
    REG- 81 1x
    BEC- 79 1x
    FAR- 88 1x

    DONE!

    10/1/12 to 2/28/14

Forget F10, in fact Forget F8 – F10. Maybe read through it all together one last time but spend the next 11 days repeating everything possible in F1 – F7. It's impossible to retain everything in FAR at an expert level, so cut it down to the first 7 chapters and make sure you know them like the back of your hand… this was exactly my mentality and I did fine.

    FAR: 84 on 4/4/13
    AUD: 91 on 7/27/13
    BEC: 72 on 11/11/13, 82 on 01/03/14
    REG: 80 on 02/27/14

I just took FAR for the 3rd time and I have felt like that each time. This last time I'd say was especially bad. I wanted to scream and cry before leaving for the exam. I kept it together I was just thinking WTH is wrong with me?! I'm an adult, I have kids that throw temper tantrums, I cannot do that. Considered having a drink pre-exam… Decided against that too. Ha. Hang in there! I'm sure you'll do great! Just know you aren't alone in your test anxiety.

    FAR - 7/13 - 72, 11/13- 74, 2/14- 82!!! Best score ever (for me)!!!
BEC - 1/14 - 75!!! Perfect score! First Pass! YAY!!!
    AUD - 8/14 - 80!!!
    REG - 5/14 - 72, 10/14 - 66, 1/15 - 78 - DONE FOREVER!!!
I did 5 of the UNA and CPAExcel classes to earn units.

I soo disagree with joelseph, I felt F8 and F9 were sooo heavily tested, exceeding the %'s they mention. I would actually prioritize those for MCQ purposes. Becker final review is good when your running short, very very helpful. Ninja notes are good but they can throw you off balance if you supplement them in the middle of your studying because they aren't in the same order as Becker. They are better used once you're through all 10 chapters.

    FAR - 71, 68, 74, (8/31/14) 78 āœ”
    REG - 67, 71, 71, (10/18/14) 78 āœ”
    BEC - (11/29/14) 86 āœ”
    AUD - 73, (4/4/15) 86 āœ”

I can't believe this is over! 2 years and 3 months..

Do you feel like going through all the MCQs was helpful? Do the passmaster questions mirror the questions on the test well?

    AUD- 97 1x
    REG- 81 1x
    BEC- 79 1x
    FAR- 88 1x

    DONE!

    10/1/12 to 2/28/14

I only did 700-800 mcq questions, but I was rushing through governmental and not for profit (didn't practice mcq) and I noticed there was many of those on the exam as mcq, it hurt me. I scored comparable on sims, which was mainly journal entries but mcq got me (that was when I got 71). Second time I had less journal entry problems and did bad on the sims. I can't tell you what was helpful as obviously I don't set a good example, I'm just saying I got tons of governmental and nfp, alot more than expected. And I feel like the Becker final review is great as a summary, I have them printed and my notes go on them. They have the key points and I write the details.

The Becker MCQ are pretty good, you just have to do enough of them lol.

I talked to my boss and he is letting me “work from home” the rest of the week! So excited to pull up my sleeves…

I will definitely focus on Govt / NfP but my main concern is the journal entries- I don't know how to study for them other than writing them out from Becker and trying to understand the logic.

I'm also using this website (https://www.principlesofaccounting.com/illustrative%20entries/entrieslist.htm) but it's going to take forever to write these all out on note cards. SIMs are a killer I hear and probably is what makes/breaks it for a lot of people…
