Hi all,

I would like to ask you guys about advanced accounting.

I just finished intermediate accounting and i am about to start reading advanced accouning textbook as i am not majoring in accounting and studying all by myself reading textbook.

Which contents should I read and be aware of in accounting textbook? Many people said that I dont need to read all sections of advanced accounting front and back so it would be very helpful if you recommend me some contents that I need to study.

Or Do you think it is okay just start revewing course and preparing Fare section without reading advanced accounting? I am so confused and I need your help on this.

Equity Method is a major component of FAR. At my university pension accounting was also covered in advanced. If you could get your hands on a Study course syllabus that might help answer your question

Study FAR and for the sections you do not understand look those up on youtube or read your textbook. The CPA exam is a different animal and I think just reading a textbook without context is a waste of time.
