74 on FAR

    Hi all,

    I took FAR this past window and got a 74. I used CPAexcel and ninja audio. I scheduled my next test for January 8th, right before busy season gets too busy (working in audit at a Big 4).

    I now have ninja MCQ’s and ninja notes. How do you think I should spend my winter vacation studying? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Don't cut corners. Get ninja book at least. Ninja audio doesn't even cover half of the material. Ninja notes are decent for review. Although it's expense, I would highly recommend the Becker course.

    Well to start, whatever you did for the first time around wasn't good enough.

    Get a good review course (becker/wiley/gleim) and study 30% more hours than you did the first time around. Just because you got a 74 doesn't mean you can work a little bit and get a 76.

    More like than not, if you only study a little bit you will end up with a 67 rather than a 77
