I just received a 74 in FAR, I really don’t know what to do.

Shall I start a new section or review the FAR alone. Or should I start a new section and review FAR along the side (review MCQs or Sims only). I want to Start a new section (REG or AUD). Any advice?

Thankfully I am over the bad news (I think!). I should now focus my energy and my mind on studying!

Moe, sorry about the score, that's rotten. My take is do only FAR and schedule for January, then start next section after you pass it in 2012. Two sections at one time is difficult, especially with so much info in both FAR and REG.

Plus this is December and you might be a wee bit busy?… Good luck.

You should get rid of Far first, you will be amazed how much you forgot. Far was the hardest amount all 4 exams. If you can do Far, the rest should be relatively easy.

    FAR 73(11/02/2010),74(08/31/2011), 80(11/30/2011)
    BEC 75(11/30/2010)
    AUD 87(01/26/2011)
    REG 77(07/09/2011)

@ledgermaven Thanks a lot for the advice, I think that makes sense, I will redo it in late Jan early Feb and see what happens.

@JOKEKIDDING Thank you for the advice, you are right, a lot of little details can be easily forgotten. I will try to redo FAR ASAP in Fan or Early Feb.

Yes, definitely just study FAR again. In just a few weeks, you can really forget a lot of detail. And it's best to study for it while you remember more of it.

    B 2/12 87
    A 11/11 90
    R 8/11 86
    F 5/12 88

@misanthrope87 Thanks a lot of the advice 🙂 I guess that that is the best thing to do at the moment.

I'm a long time lurker and 1st time poster to this website. I feel like I know everyone's story here and have been rooting for a few folks too.

Anyway, I'm crashing your score party. I just found out I didn't pass FAR as well with a 74. I was pretty happy that I got that though. Taking the exam has been on my “to do” list for 9 years and being a C accounting student in college (years ago), I had to learn a bunch of stuff all over again.

I also think taking FAR asap is the way to go. It's still fresh in my head for the most part. Like you, Moecpa, I also have to come up with a new plan of attack. And this time, I don't have 10 weeks, I have 4 weeks since I need to start studying for Auditing. I'm using Roger (which I like) so my plan is to just to go over everything again, do the wiley questions, make new notes/flashcards and hammer out more practice tests. I also know where I was weak. One topic in particular I didn't do a thorough final review in and of course it came up as a SIM (which I skipped).

Good luck to my fellow 74 scorers! Let's do this.

@JOKEKIDDING Can you please teach me your ways? What did you do to go from 73, 74 to 80 on FAR? I am so afraid of scoring another 73 or 74 this time around!
