I just finished retaking all of my Becker MC’s for ch’s 1-4 and averaged over 90% when combing all that material. I still have not finished all of Ch5(cost/budget accounting) questions even one time due to the frustration with length and formula memorization. I have also not taken any practice exams yet or done any supplementals. I have 3 nights left of study, should I…

    1. Devote most of my time to understanding ch 5 and working the lengthy and detailed questions?

    2. Spend a day on ch 5 and do the supplemental q’s for all chs

Also, if anyone could comment on whether becker ch 5 qs are similar to the actual exam ch 5 qs or if they are way more difficult which I hope to God they are. Thanks everyone.

Sounds like you have chapters 1-4 down, so I'd really buckle down on chapter 5. The exam is a total crap shoot, I've known people who took an exam with maybe 5% worth of chapter 5 questions, or myself who got what seemed like 80% from chapter 5. If I were you, I would focus on chapter 5, and do one practice exam each night. Other than that, best of luck!

Becker indicates the longer & more difficult MCQ come from old CMA exams. Focus on the more straight forward MCQ. Know both the theory and the calculations. You can cover a lot of the main topics in 3 days. Also, be prepared to do the pronblems Peter dtresses. Break it out by topic. I think yo ucan do it. If you are solid on Chapter 1 – 4 you may have enough tim to pull the points from Ch 5 thaat you will need.

Chapter 5 mcq's in Becker are a joke! I wouldl def buckle down on those questions, but I would maybe go through the ones in the Wiley book instead of Becker. I spent so much time trying to figure out the solutions to those questions, and then I still couldn't do it on the exam. The questions in Wiley are much more representative of what you will see on the actual exam. Do don't even bother with the Becker simulated exam…you will drive yourself crazy!!!

    REG 79 (Becker); BEC 63 (Becker) 70 (Yaeger); AUD 66 (Becker; 11/30 - Becker); FAR 11/24 (Yaeger/Wiley)
