3 days before FAR - Page 2

    Hey guys,

    So I’m taking far in a couple days and wanted to get some last minute advice for what to focus on. I feel like I’ve got a good grasp of the major concepts (pensions, bonds, leases, govt, NFP). What else do you guys think I should go over? Also, without disclosing any exam info, are there any broad things you wish you had covered more? (for example: journal entries, practice SIMS, GAAP v. IFRS, etc).

    @Angelwatch: Yeah, I finished all the material a few weeks ago. Just been reviewing since.

    So it seems like the general consensus is govt and NFP. I'm gonna read the chapters again and keep doing the MCQ. Thanks a lot guys.

    If you have Becker index cards, use them rather than going through the book assuming you're using Becker

    Understand the JE's to all the topics, including Gov, NFP, and chapter 10 materials. Do as many MC as possible. I think the test takers believe that Gov and NFP is considered “hard” so as you do well on the exam, more of those questions tend to show up.
