22 days until REG… what is my best bet for studying?

Just finished all the lectures for Yaeger… and even after 39 hours of lecture I don’t feel very confident on the material :-/ . Now I’m wondering- should I go straight to the Wiley test bank and just do a crazy amount of MCQ? Should I go through ALL the MCQ from the book that Phil went through with us first? I sure hope that as I go through the MCQ I start to feel much more confident.

Also, when is a good time for me to stop and take a break from MCQ and rewrite all my notes? I was thinking about a week before the test.

    Your advice is appreciated!!!!!

Make sure that when you are working the mcq's that you read all the explanations in the answers, right and wrong ones. They have tons of info in those explanations that will help drive home the key points. Understand why you got the question right and why you got a question wrong. I don't think it matters which ones you start with (book or test bank) just as long as you work a lot of them and understand the theory.

Bnr- thanks. I might just go through the book first to get it out of the way, since its what I'm wanting to get out first. As long as no one brings up any type of disadvantage to that I'll stick to that first.

I agree with bnrhilton in that as long as your diligently reading the right/wrong answer explanations and trying to get that key point in every question, it doesn't matter much which questions you choose.

I have to say, though, that the Wiley questions are really good at making each question count. I worry a little that the test bank is a little disproportionate, though. There are way more “Business Law” questions (just one unit in the official CSOs) than there are questions that belong to the other more weighty CSOs. So I'd hit the taxation questions pretty hard.

    Good luck!

Get through the ones in book, and re-read a section on questions that you are getting wrong,

Read the explanation for each question, whether you get it right or wrong,

Write down what you got wrong,

    Make tons of notes,

    Start Wiley,

    Take notes, etc.

You got plenty of time!! you can do it, good luck!!

You got some great advice for REG, I would just add on rewriting the notes: it takes longer than you think. I would probably start that sooner than with 1 week remaining. When I rewrote my notes I left some time for doing a small amount of mcq's each night as well. If you are finding that you don't have enough time to rewrite all your notes, maybe rewrite the notes from areas that you are weaker in.

    Best of luck to you!

Make sure you can navigate through the Internal Revenue Code. This helped me with 2 of my sims that I really had no clue how to do.

Another question- how confident did you all feel after completing the lectures?
