I flagged 2 MCQ in each section. Obviously did all SIMs. Was through all MCQ in maybe 1.10 or so. That's 2hours 40mins to be clear.

Just followed the blue prints for the sims and practiced the corresponding sections in GLEIM. If it didn't fall into one of those categories, I ignored it completely. I think that served me pretty well. I thought the GLEIM sims were good preparation.

@AF , you are genius. You took 1.30 Hours to finish SIMs , incredible. I need 2 hours 30 minutes and always wanted more .LOL Appreciate any last minutes suggestions please. I am using Gliem too.

I thought it was really similar to the Sample Test Sims and the Gleim Sims.

Suggest not wasting any time practicing SIMs that aren't on the blueprint as Analysis. Also spent vast majority of my time doing MCQs.

I sat for FAR this morning. I finished the exam with 50 min left on the clock. I would say its a pretty fair exam. I used Becker. I think I flagged 7 MCQs out of 66. I feel the MCQs were easier than those in Becker. I followed AICPA blue prints for the SIMs. I only got one SIM that was outside of what the blue prints include as analysis – which is the one I felt most unsure about so hopefully it was pretest. The format of the exam is identical to the Mock exams that Becker offers, which I thought was very user friendly. The sims were hard but not to the extent that I had expected based on Q1 feedback. They just have many small details that really test to make sure you know your stuff. if there is one thing I wish I had done differently studying its definitely paying as much attention to the small items that people consider “less tested” as I did the more obvious items. Come the end of June I am hopeful to get a passing grade – but if I do not I know where my short comings were

For anyone wondering what to do in the last few days before testing – I would advise doing MCQs over and over. It seems the consensus is that the MCQs in prep courses are generally harder than those found on the exam.. with that being said, I feel the Becker MCQs helped prepare me for both the MCQs and sims on the exam.

Awesome MPR , when you are saying
Less tested items , you are referring to MCQ , right?
Did u use excel for mcq or SIMs ?

@mpr I also only had 1 sim outside of blueprints. I imagine it was pretest as well. Seems we had fairly similar experiences. Good luck on your score.

@satyakatiwal I would recommend just not spending much time on IFRS. There has been so much effort to bring accounting under one “GAAP” that most of the differences are minor, so most questions you'd see on the exam I suggest answering as if it is asking for US GAAP

I'm happy to see those that have taken the exam actually had time left on the clock. Makes me feel better. I took it in Q1 and ran out of time, the last 3 sims I had to fly and just put in as much info as possible, probably why I scored a 70 and back for round 2. I have been reading the entire Wiley book and then going to concentrate on MCQs, SIMS and the AICPA practice exams for the last 2 weeks. I'm also reviewing my condensed notes and Ninja notes weekly.
I was looking at the score pass rates earlier and noticed that the 41.29% from Q1 was the lowest percentage since 2011! Made me feel slightly better for not passing, but only slightly.
