2012 FAR

    Do you think it is OK to take FAR in early 2012 using the materials I purchased for the 2011 exams? I am scheduled for BEC in early November, but don’t want to force FAR in late November.

    I was hesitant to buy my FAR materials for my 11/28 test date with the thought of what if I don't pass and need to test again in January 2012. I called Yaeger (just because I have been using them for other sections and enjoy their course) and asked what they thought. They were very helpful and told me that using the 2011 course for January of 2012 would be prefectly fine as most review courses 2012 course does not come out until say February. I think you should be fine! Good luck 🙂

    I hope there won't be a lot of changes, as I just scheduled my exam for mid January, which means I will study during December with 2011 materials. I'm using Becker, so I don't worry much about the updates, I know if any changes come up they will be available, my only concern is that I might not get enough time to review additional material once the updates become available…



    @rmm91909    , I'm sure the same thing with Yaeger, if you purchased your course directly through Yaeger or authorized dealer (and you obviously did), then you'll definitely can get the updates (hopefully Yaeger's customer support is right, and we will not see any changes until February 🙂

    Yeah I had asked them that because I didn't want to have to pay for a new 2012 course. They mentioned that if there were updates they would post them on their website for their students. So whodey, if you went with either of these two courses I think you are covered!

    @rmm91909, I just read your post carefully (after reading your blog) and realized you are taking FAR on 11/28. Don't even think about failing it! There is no January 2012 for you! Not even December 2011! November 28 will be the end of it! Good luck with BEC tomorrow!

    Aww thanks iPass I appreciate that! I am trying to think in that mindset but my confidence sometimes lacks!

    I am just plugging along at testlets of 20 through wiley but I am starting to think this is making me more nervous! Maybe just the NINJA guide for the rest of the night!
