2011 FAR CPA Exam Review

    How is everybody preparing for FAR 2011 exam? I did not find anything specific out there regarding the 2011 exam. As far as I understand, the FAR exam is losing the two WC sections in 2011 and adding IFRS content. It will still have the research section/s but it will use the codification database. The simulations will be in the form of 7 separate mini case studies. Do you think the exam will be more manageable timewise? It sounds like it.

    Well the thing is, is the IFRS going to be in the PRE-Test questions or what? Does anyone know? Also, will it be fine if you study with 2010 textbooks?

    Btw, what is a WC section and codification database that u were talking about FARbehind?

    @hmubeen – I failed FAR twice using Becker. The closest I've gotten is a 70. When I looked at my score report, I found that I usually do well on Gov and Non-profit using Becker. So while I'm waiting, I'm studying those two topics using my Becker text and 2010 Wiley mcqs. So when I finally get my 2011 Yaeger materials, I can just quickly go over it. I figure that this would be ok since there hasn't really been a massive update on Gov and Non-profit in awhile.

    Sonny at Yaeger said that they should start shipping in about a week. So hopefully we get our's soon! I'm just anxious cause my test is on Jan 15!
