    Hey guys,

    I am entering my final two week before my exam July 2nd with FAR. I feel like I’m finally really understanding all the areas, but I’ve scored about a 60 for each practice exam. I think I may be rushing through them too much, but does anybody have any tips for the final two weeks of study? I’m using Becker, and right now my current plan is: 2 hrs a day practicing multiple choice, 1 hr a day doing sims, 1-2 hrs a day reviewing material. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys!

    I cant really say for FAR because Im studying it now, but for me doing the Wiley Test Bank questions to supplement Becker has been a great help for other sections. I hope FIN starts to come around for me eventually like it did for you. Way too much information!

    BEC - 86
    AUD - 94
    REG - 88
    FAR - 89

    @foyboyusc

    I'm in the same boat, I take FAR July 1st. I took two progress tests and scored a 66, and a 69. So, for today I am taking the 3 chapters I scored poorly in and giving myself a 50 MCQ quiz on each weak chapter. Tomorrow I am going to quiz the other 3 chapters I did poorly in, 50 questions each. This way, come Wednesday I'll have worked 300 MCQ and will hopefully score higher when I take a progess test. Make sure you analyze the right answer to the questions as well as the wrong. I would focus more on working MCQ's then the SIMS. Just do enough SIMs to feel comfortable with the format. I find it helpful to go through the flash cards for the chapters I'm going to do the next day. I did this for REG and went in feeling confident. I hope this helps or gives you some ideas. Good luck!

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

    Thanks for the tips guys! I think I will definitely increase my MCQ's, especially this week focusing on weaker areas. One thing that I have found that helps me as well is working out the simulations, I think it's a great one to really grasp the whole area of several topics, especially statement of cash flows, bonds, and pensions.

    Surprisingly I found reading the Becker book to be helpful. Not the most exciting way to study but after you have a good foundation, going back and reading through the details again seemed to work for me. Don't worry too much about the practice exam grade. I think I was scoring around the same as you, again same, I was rushing through them. For the practice exams I finished with at least an hour left and during the actual exam I ran out of time during my last simulation. I feel like on the practice exam I really didn't go back and check my answers and half of the time it was stupid recalculations that I could have gotten right. On the actual exam, I recalced everything like 6 times which is probably why I ran out of time! Doing MC is key! The more you do the better prepared you will be!

    FAR 10/1/2010 =====> 90
    BEC 10/28/2010 ====> 81
    REG 2/2/2011 ======> 82
    AUD 5/28/2011 =====> 92 ===========>DONE!!!!

    Oh and I agree about the simulations, a lot of people say only do them only to get comfortable, but yes it is a great way to master a lot of topics. If I hadn't taken the time the night before REG to do some extra simulations, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have passed, because a majority of my exam was on a topic I really didn't understand throughout the MC until I did it in a simulation.

    FAR 10/1/2010 =====> 90
    BEC 10/28/2010 ====> 81
    REG 2/2/2011 ======> 82
    AUD 5/28/2011 =====> 92 ===========>DONE!!!!

    Did anybody take the 2011 FAR exam last window? I found the exam was very difficult and all brand new questions compared to 2010 FAR. I just ordered Gleim to supplement with Yaeger material. I'll take the exam end of next week. What is your plan?

    Use Yeager. I only spent 40 days to prepare this exam at my first attempt. I passed. I like this program, which is more concept-oriented.
