What was your best strategy for 2 weeks before the exam? I’m using Yeager and Wiley and I also have Jeff’s NINJA notes.

Being that I just receiving a failing score for REG- I’m starting to feel a little down and doubting myself so please- what should be my focus for the next 14 days for AUD?? I really need to pass this one so I can get back on the wagon and pass REG! I WILL pass this thing in 2012!

    ----------
    AUD - 74, 77! (1/2016)
    BEC - 80! (5/2016)
    REG - tbd (8/2016)
    FAR - tbd

    Study materials: NINJA MCQ/Audio/Notes

"I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me!"

Typically by that time I have read most of the chapters so I just focus on doing questions. I do every single section and flag the ones I miss or don't fully understand. Then I redo all the flagged questions. Once I feel like I understand everything I always do practice test after practice test until I can't see straight. I never spend any time studying the sims. I have always felt like if you know the material you should be fine with the Sims. Plus you can use the authoritative literature to help with the sims.

Thanks for this info. Can you use authoritative literature for all SIMS? I mean, not that it will always pertain but just curious.

Yes, but I didn't realize it until the 3rd time I took Auditing. It helps out tremendously. If you save enough time for the SIMS you can go through the literature and sometimes find the answers word for word or at least part of the answer.

@Givemesleep Agreed 100% reports and also Internal Control. Seriously that stuff is key. But also you should see what questions you keep on getting wrong or are having trouble with and focus on that. If you know something your mind tends to remember it better than if you dont. What I mean is at some point in the next two weeks you should try and write out the information you DONT understand and focus on that. SIMS arent bad if you leave yourself with time and can practice using the AL tab. That thing is KEY.

Form is temporary, class is permanent.

    Audit 4/19/12 - 77
    BEC 5/31/12 - 75

What about the transaction cycles? Becker emphasizes them so much. I just started studying them today (A4) and I about cried. 64% on the MCQ first time around. Is this going to start making sense…? I feel like I'm having trouble with auditing because there's no math. Anyone else use Becker and had a good experience with the exam? Just curious.

    AUD: (5/2012) 91
    REG: (8/2012) 82

I used Becker self study, Ninja notes, Ninja & Becker flashcards, & Cpareviewforfree.com. My last 2 weeks I did lots of multiple choice questions from Becker & cpareviewforfree. At home/work did Becker. On the go did cpareviewforfree questions on my iPhone. Pretty much every spare moment I dedicated to reading the notes, flashcards, & working questions. I didn't do the Sims other than the ones that were in the Becker final exams. My theory was if I understood the concepts well enough I should be able to apply them. Also I did type up the notes once. Started to write but that was too slow. And I listened to Wiley impact audio for audit a few times while commuting. It was old but it was free and I could tell not a lot had changed for audit. Can't use it for FAR though. It's too different. Well that was my strategy. Good luck!!
