I really need to speed up on the modules i havent touched

I'm planing to finish them by tuesday and then i have six days to review the whole thing.

I'm hoping i can do abt 700mcq(redo) and read my notes.

I think it's a good plan….I am re-reading notes and re-reading chapters in Wiley for the rematch of Far. I am doing the questions along with Yeager, but I am making sure I am not caught up in getting the questions correct more than grasping the concepts intended. After reviewing notes during study time, I am listening to ninja before bed. The key for me is consistent, quality study……Far is going down….Focus, focus, focus.

I was out chasing deer around some fields for the weekend, but I cut my Sunday hunt short and did 210 MCQs…Comparing Wiley and Becker – Wiley gets really technical it seems and Becker seems more functional, but I'm doing both because I can and it gives me a change of pace.

Tuesday is the day. Tomorrow I plan to look over my notes and assault my weaknesses….NEED MORE FOCUS

Pensions tonight. Writing out formulas on 24X48 sheets and hanging them up on kitchen cupboards in front of where I sit and where my notes are laid out….

At what point can one say they're “OK” with pensions?

-calculate PBO

-calculate Net Periodic Cost and know some tidbits about each component

-calculate FV plan assets…

-know the basic IFRS differences

-know some deferred tax asset implications

some of the heavier things in this chapter are: corridor approach and the laying out of a comprehensive problem via J/E's… yes, ideally it would be good to know inside and out, but. How likely would it be to have the exam reach this deep?

I think I'm okay with knowing “the basics” and moving on.

Yeah, I've gotta look at pensions again too…

– Matching principle – Installments and R&D expense

– IFRS – I took some notes yesterday, just need to read em over

-Foreign currency – I seem to always screw these questions up

It seems like a lot, but I've found that I can handle the vast majority of the material and I've gotten good at recognizing wrong answers.

Where's my December 4th candidate? How's it going?

I'm starting to dig into the notes and remember concepts as a whole, becker MCQ in spare time. I skip over some of the drawn out comp questions and focus on the conceptual stuff. My last FAR exam was I'd say 2/3rds conceptual, 1/3 calc… then again I never made it to that hard testlet.

Bonds all day tomorrow, along with basic bond J/E.

Sadly i still havent finished my modules.. About 200q left that i havent tried yet.(includes stmt of cash flow, consolidation, hedging… Foreign currency..etc) Hopefully i can finish them tomm. And start reviewing. I cant wait to do my review!!! I want to wrap up these tons of stuffs wondering around in my head… This is my third time sitting for far. Got 66 last time. But i WILL PASS this time! Aiming for 82! Lol
