Hi CPA Candidates,
Just received my score for FAR this morning and to my surprise it was a PASSING SCORE. YAAAAYYYYYY!!!!!!!. This was a retake from failing miserably with a 50 and received a 79. The first time I took the test my time management was awful and I did not complete the last testlet (3 task based sims (Yikes) and did not feel great (obviously a reflection of my score) about the sims I’ve completed. I believe its a common topic that the sims are extremely complex now with the new version of the CPA exam. I would advice anyone who is studying and struggling on the FAR Section, to get a great understanding of topics and understand rules. With Sims now 50% of the score it is pretty much impossible now to do poorly on sims and receive a passing score. I only used Wiley for studying material and instead of taking a tremendous amount of notes, (I never was a note taker, I always tried to understand and conceptualize a topic)I tried to take notes on exceptions.

@Lola23 – I failed FAR 3 times, and finally passed it back in December. If you can use Becker too I would recommend.

I failed FAR back in October with a 51, but passed this time with an 83. I recommend an in-person class or tutor if you're really struggling.

Congrats all!!!! I also passed FAR this window, my first pass after this year long journey. I cannot recommend following the blueprint enough to all of you taking it. Now on to the next 3!!
