Passed FAR on my first try. Studied for 8 weeks, 6 hours a day, 6 days a week. Might have been overkill but with the extended score releases I did not want to mess around and potentially receive a failing grade. The best thing I did was take my own notes in my own words when I went back during my review phase. Additionally, when I got to the 7th chapter, I slowed my rate of going forward and started to go back to review and relearn topics from the beginning. Perhaps most importantly, when I got a MCQ wrong, I waited to revisit it until I was going back to my review phase instead of immediately checking off the correct answer based off memorization.
This is rough because of how long it is, but you really have to “trust the process” and keep pushing forward even when it feels hopeless or like you're not retaining anything. This isn't one that you can cram and memorize facts. You really have to have a broad understanding of the entire subject matter

@Big4BeanCounter: Congrats to you & all who passed! I keep hearing about the importance of using blueprints while studying. Can you please let me know how to put that into practice? I mean how do you exactly use the blueprints to prepare for the exam. Thanks in advance!

Barely passed FAR (76), but I take it!!
I passed FAR (78) first in 2014, but lost credit.

Passed FAR with an 82! Thought I bombed the SIMS, but I guess I did good enough! Thank you Ninja!!!!

Officially DONE! Now…to apply to the WV BOA…hope it doesn't take forever

Passed FAR with a 76!!!! I am in denial. I think they graded it wrong lol but I really cannot complain. It was my first exam so I didn't really know what to expect. I would definitely say to study the blueprints for the sims. Sims really solidify if you know a topic or not.

I am in disbelief that I passed FAR and I am finally done with the CPA exam. I felt good when I left the testing center but you can never be too sure with these test. I truly believe Ninja MCQ and videos gave me the edge I needed to pass on the first attempt. I used Yaeger and Wiley textbooks as my primary review program.

I failed FAR in the first window, and plan to re-take it in the second one, maybe early May. I am wondering if it's possible to pass FAR with only using NINJA. Should I get another material review?

Hey everyone!

Congrats to all who have passed all four parts (I can officially say I am now one of those people!) I failed FAR on my first take (70) and passed on my second try earlier this quarter (83) using the Becker software. For anyone out there who might be in the same position I was and needing to do a retake, I really think the second time around taking my own notes in a separate notebook made the difference! I felt like on my first try I was having trouble keeping up with scribbling down what the lecturers wanted me too in the book, but not retaining the information in the lecture as a result. Taking the time to stop, think about what I was hearing, and rewrite it really helped me absorb material!

This also helped me perform better on MCQ and Sims, etc… when I got around to them. Hope this helps!
