Sorry, I'm just now seeing your question 3 months later. My strategy with the sims is to quickly read through the questions to get an idea of what they're looking for. Then I read all documents start to finish noting any information that will be needed to answer the questions. Then just do whatever calculations and plug my answers. Since you bought Gleim I think it will help you a lot. They have quite a few DRS simulations to practice on. I've always been a fast test-taker. A lot of it is being calm/collected/focused during the test and not letting anxiety creep in to your head. Be confident.
edit: Also, I probably save more time on MCQ than on sims. I don't second-guess my MCQ answers. I usually skim them one extra time after I'm done just in case I missed some key detail or something. But I don't recalculate or bounce back and forth between 2 answers. If I'm not sure between 2 answers I trust my first instinct.
